  • After an interesting conversation with my car finanical advisor, I booked a spontaneous 3 day trip to London, England alone. It was my first time leaving the United States. Something in me just needed to get out and explore the world-studying style, architecture and a new culture. Go out and do it yourself. I hope this inpsires you.

I'm giving myself a solo trip to the UK soon, so watching all the pertaining UA-cams. Enjoyed your content! You covered a lot of ground in a short time! Did you primarily walk everywhere? Or did you take the Tube or a taxi? I'm wayyyy older than you, and not super excited about the Tube. Happy to walk unless it's 20 miles a day...😉

Hi! I’m so excited you are going-you will have the best time. I pretty much winged it and just wanted to explore while I was there, but here are my tips!
Choose certain landmarks or things you want to see and spend time in that area walking once you cab there. The black cabs are great and have glass ceilings so you can watch the city as you drive. I find the tube to be easy but you are underground so you don’t get to sight see. I’d just think of general areas you want to go and just walk and explore.
I felt like when I got places and walked around, I wasn’t there as long as I thought and just took a cab or Uber to the next spot and walked and explored there. You fit a lot in!
If there are places you really want to go for dinner, I recommend making at least the dinner reservations. I made all of mine for 8:30/9:30 so I had time to get back to my hotel and shower and take my time. It was nice having at least a solid dinner plan ever night to look forward to and not have to figure out. For lunch and stuff just pop into cute shops and cafes you see along the way. There are a ton!
If you want to attempt the tube to save money, I highly recommend “Tube App”. You put your destination and where you are and it maps out for you where to walk and which trains to get on/which stop you need to get off on. It’s super user friendly.
I walked about 16k steps a day and it was manageable! I hope some of that helps!
