I don't know exactly when lullabies became associated with something scary, but they are very good sleep music. Reminds me of old cartoons and films from a distant, serene childhood ❤
I think lullabies were originally used as a cautionary tale for children, then afterwords the meaning got watered down as songs to soothe someone to sleep. Dude some of the lullabies are DARK, rock a bye baby in a literal sense is a baby falling from somewhere high
There's a character I write in this story I've been working on for some time. This character lives in the forest and has been there for a very very long time. I'm talking a surreal amount of time. And when people get near the forest this entity studies the people and eventually in the story it judges the people as not worthy of the fruits of the forest. So it becomes a hunter. The first song immediately has me envisioning it just sitting in the forest in the dark, just thinking, waiting... Planning...
*click* ...Today's date is November the 10th, 310 Post Heavenly Rule. Today I found an angel, fallen and bleeding in the forest. I brought him back home, tried and patched him up. Currently, he seems to be comatose or at least deep asleep in my spare cot while I repair the systems on the forge. Luck was on his side today, I found him before one of those hunters or a demon did. I want to rehabilitate him, eventually have him helping with things I can't do, like killing demons. Not sure how long this guy is gonna be out for, so best I bide my time and start overhunting a little. Hopefully he's a morning person and doesn't try to kill me when he wakes up, haha. *click* sorry for the teensy-weensy-fiction, this album just got me thinking. if you wanna give feedback please do, we're all our own worst critics.
At first I thought it was a copy paste creepy "you'll die in 5 hours if you read this" type stuff but it got interesting. I'm glad music gives you inspiration to write, it takes a special kind of sense to make abstract feelings and images come to life. I think of it like a kind of synesthesia. Sorry for the rambling, the fic is really good, it got me interested 💚
Класс! Ogres & ghosts - Dead of Winter хотя тут и не совсем Dungeon Synth, но это лучший Dungeon Synth в 2024 году наряду с Brocade - Phoenix Quest, но там совсем другое.
@@UwUImTheo "Descent into madness" sent shivers down my spine when it began. It brought to mind a painting or woven work from the 15th era where the eerie tale linked to it is indeed true, that the narrative behind it actually occurred. There's something about that... I can't explain, but I'd surely feel uneasy every time I passed by it.
@@UwUImTheo When I went to the song you spoke of in the track, it makes me think of something nearby, or something that you FEEL is watching you but no matter how often you try to unearth what you reckon is watching you, you can never find it. I don't know how they achieved it, but their music feels like the creation of some peculiar musical craftsman in a bygone age. The olden-looking being makes it more disturbing to me. XD
Where was it stated that AI was used for the cover? Also, for AI the shading and anatomy looks fine, no extra fingers, no major imperfections, nothing. The body isn't even melding in with the trees, and I doubt AI could manage to make the frame on the outside.
@@B_4035mn what you're describing is AI from a couple years ago. Most of the today's AI, even some of the free ones, will give you a similar picture without such errors. I do it for work and you start to recognize AI logic when it comes to art. the frame is also a big giveaway
“Dead of Winter” is now available on cassette.

The type of stuff I wanna listen to whilst in a foggy winter evergreen forest.
How cute 🥰

Got me moving like I’m in a German expressionist film and I’m about to have a revelation about the plot
I like the cover picture!
Perfect for my Dungeons and Dragons setting!

This needs more views
NEEDS MORE LIKES! That's what it needs!
im listening to this while writing stories of monsters and heroes. very fitting for the grim fantasy setting im going for.
Where can I read
Keep up with these omg, this makes me feel so relaxed while i feel awkward at the same time, gives me the mid 2014's horror games vibe

Oh and I agree. Artists are like doctors, they can't reliably tell what's wrong with themselves/their work.
you wrote this in a way that i can perfectly imagine an audio recording playing when i read it. really fits over the music, too
I'd like to see a horror game about this ngl
gives me the freakies, i like it

great music. I wish they wouldn't use AI for the cover though, seriously cheapens the presentation
