do you know how to disable the names of countries in geo layer 3?
Yes, if you go back to the list of Mapcomps, you can click on the letter A which will disable labels. At least that's how it worked last time I used it. Check the Help section of the plugin. It's pretty great.
Can I put an image instead of a solid color on this map type?
Great tutorial, any way to extrude the layers in different colours, Country would for example be in a different colour then a province?
I got a bug that I can't help it. any coastal country that I draw onto the map, also colors the maritime territory. How can I get rid of that? why in that demo France's maritime territory wasn't colored?
I think you can find different options when you search for France's geodata. Try downloading the natural earth country feature. Use the plus button to download those.

If you have the correct format you can upload it directly via GEOlayers.
