GM totally missed an opportunity to save the brand.
@J Dolo because gm is focusing on making garbage cars and making their trucks look better. I gotta admit, I love the looks of the new Colorado
I’ve been saying this since the retro mustang and the challenger rerelease…I’d happily go into debt for a rereleased Chevy chevelle..
dude no lmao, people prefer the camaro 100% and always will, the trans am was a joke and will always be a joke when compared to a camaro
@J Dolo Right! A modern take on a classic 👌🏽
Dude they lost there way in the late 2000s
It's like as if those cars came from a parallel universe where Pontiac never went defunct.
These are probably better if gm made them themselves
pretty sure they could even revive pontiac... if pontiac want it... maybe...
Agreed. It is uncanny how well they did.
In the future I will buy Pontiac.
I'm 13 now but I like to believe
@@UserUser-zc6fx I can’t agree
I know it's not a big deal, but the fact they made the GTO flip lights is soo cool to me.
Pop up and flip lights used to add a lot of character to cars back then
It truly broke my heart when I heard GM discontinued the Pontiac and Oldsmobile brands. They were iconic brands. Tens of millions of people have fond memories with these cars. That was a real shame.
So true I love those cars. They are the best 🇯🇲
It wasn't by choice, it was apart of getting bailed out. The government basically said if you want our money you need to drop Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Saturn, and Hummer. Incidentally part of that clause was how they could no longer manufacture any of those vehicles in the future.
However GM found a loophole by releasing the new Hummer as a GMC instead of a standalone. Odds are its only an EV to get brownie points and a pass by the gov.
most bad ass custom shop I've ever seen
Love it. They're better than if GM made em them selves!. I'd love to see a remake of a Third Gen. My personal favorite!!! 🤷♂️😁😎
Love them to do a 91 - 92 Firebird Formula
Yes please! 3rd gen in black
I love the 73
@@Yes-qj4bi 73 is the best year
2nd Gen is my all time fav
Man, I wish I had the money for trans am. The bandit version.
That one caught my eyes as well
Anyone know what the conversion çosts..?
You guys are awesome keeping the Classic American Muscle Car dream alive!!!
It's not classic. Its remake
@@me.with.my.self. Thank you. And it's not awesome when the average person cannot even BEGIN to hope to own one.
@@freedomrider266 American cars are only good for the first five years. After that trade it in. I'll stick with the Germans. I have a BMW and I kid you not, it only breaks down once every four to five years. Before that I was into American cars and they would break down every pay period.
I got 1978 fire bird man it's a monster if we got a new module camaro and mustang just gone
Its dead bro
youtube recommandations: recommends this after almost 5 years
me who loves it: Wait, that's illegal
Why is it illegal
@@jaydenms2840 it's a meme
@@jaydenms2840 Moving headlights are the thing I noticed but there may be more
@@jaydenms2840 probalbly because of the headlights, U.S regulations doesn't allows headlights/ tailights to have moving parts anymore, which why pop ups are gone forever since those regulations came out
I was gonna buy one until he said, "Our customers get stopped in fast food lines."
This is unacceptable.
Good one
Like you never have 😀
🤣
My friend drives his 54 vette through mickys D and gets asked, is that a chevy?
I never stop in fast food lines. I just plow through.
When I was 15 my Dad bought me my first car, it was the 10th Anniversary Trans Am with the 400 4 speed Shaker hood. The car had 36,000 miles then, now I'm 45 and miss that car every day. Wish I still had it sold it with 71,000 miles. Car show ready all the time. Have allot of high school memories with that car. Keep it up and maybe one day I'll be able to buy one like these you guys are building. Nice work.
This is amazing. It’s really cool to see people making custom cars like this really opens up the possibilities. There are so many cars I’d love to see by these people. They did a really good job making that car look new but keeping the old retro look. 10/10
I have worked on many a T/A and the Formula of the late 60's , really a badass car then . In 77 with the bandit T/A , the good looks just kept on going . How Pontiac got dropped and Oldsmobile but Buick stayed . never figure that one out .
to answer your question it's because of china. china buys more buicks than anybody in the world.
Jim Braun Oldsmobile has been dead since 2004. Pontiac didn't die until 2010. GM had to get rid of either Pontiac (enthusiast branch) or Buick (inexpensive luxury) but Buick is incredibly popular in China...they went with what made more money, simple as that.
pontiac re badged cars built by other makers. the firebird and t/a were just camaros entering 83 and the vibe was a toyota matrix. i would consider that dead.
Jim Braun I hear ya Jim...cause the Buick and their gay commercials are the worst! GM should be ashamed of it self to STOP production of the Pontiac just to turn around and give these guys the rights to make them from a camaro chassis n to beef up their engine to where Average Joe can't even afford the DAMN thang! Thanks GM for keeping it GR8 for the 1% American again😡
Jim Braun Ik, Buick makes some ugly cars, and no one really drives one
man i wish i could afford one of those maybe one day till then great car porn lol
+David Cooke I hear ya man, if I hit a lottery , 1 of these is on my get list
+David Cooke My favorite muscle car EVER....Dodge Chargers of any year are not worthy of their quality and performance.
+David Cooke Man, for real. I'm over here salivating but my pockets don't match my desire, lol.
+David Cooke whens your birthday, cause I will get you a poster of one of these cars
Cavalier Thompson
Who can't appreciate how much work and excellence goes into these vehicles?
You guys rock! Thank you for keeping a dream alive for so many people. Even those of us who will never even see one of these, we know they are out there, still being made, and that's enough.
I am honestly picking my jaw up off the floor what you guy are doing is bringing back the line that GM dropped
Stunning !!!
Ummmm, more videos please. Awesome cars guys, keep up the good work.
aaaaaa
absolutely amazing work you guys! cant believe i havnt stumbled across your cars til now! wow!
Very nicely made production highlighting the work put into these cars.
You're doing God's work. Man do I miss Pontiac. You guys do incredible work.
A great way to revive those classics into the modern day! Keep up the good work!
Hollyyyyy sh.... My Dream come true. I'm 41 years. Since I was a child a Pontiac trans am was my dream. No Ferrari. no Lamborghini... Maybe I never see one of this in Mexico City where I am. But just watching your videos makes me dream more. That maybe just maybe one day I could drive one of this piece of art. Greetings from Mexico City guys. My hole respect for your work.
Very interesting, glad some one is doing this car. It looks amazing!

All I can say is... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Growing up. I loved and still love the Ole cars. Old simple power that can't be touched. I am a Mopar guy but I so much love your guy's work! So much fun!
I would honestly love to see a rendition of a modern fiero using the c8 frame. Go from a car that was ridiculed and faulty back in the 80s and give it the proper love it deserved.
gotta have T-tops
love the tailights!
WOW! You guys create some beautiful motors ♡ Looks all Trans Am to me. Keep it up guys ♡♡♡♡
Essentially that’s what all generations of trans ams are just the same chassis as a camaro and it is an absolute travesty that Pontiac shut down.
Congratulations on all of your success guys! You now have a worldwide fan base cheering you all on. I was curious as to what happened with the 442 Cutlass you designed? Or was it scrapped? I hope not.
I am in LOVE with the GTO Judge with the LSX 454 with the 2300 supercharger in a Hurst 6 speed. That's my dream car...in yellow of course.
Cash in all your Stocks, kids College Funds, Retirement Accounts, keep going. Exclusivity costs & good luck on resale value.
Man those are awesome, I would definitely get one of those if I could. All of them are beautiful. Great job, better than the standard camaro.
There's only one problem with this video.....it's not long enough🤭.
Wow! Making my childhood fantasies come to fruition. I always dreamed of having a 78 Trans Am, like the Smokey and the Bandit vehicle. That beast at the 4.58mins mark on the right😍.
I love your work! Especially the GTO!
I'm a tallahassee local, I recently purchased a 2013 Camaro SS I'm going to try to stop by your shop sometime this week. looks sooo awesome.
bring 100k
Sai Tinson recent got a loan you mean lmao
These guys are doing the kind of work many of us dream of doing.
no telling how much it is to buy one of yall's cars, but i love the work put into it brings back good memories.
They do awesome work. Those cars are freaking 😎 cool.
all the best guys, be safe
Cool
glad to see a great shop doing such fine work, and all the upgrades. way back when i owned
4 stock trans ams, 79, 84, 99 and 2001, all t tops. miss those cars, glad to see theyve not been forgotten. hats off to you guys! where are you located?
I love these cars people make. I love the Trans Ams and the GTOs. Especially the the GTO judge. They look so much like them. Very cool.
these guys are giving GM a run for there money. seriously amazing cars, makes me wish Pontiac was still going today.
They are not making the cars, just modify them..
How Buick survived and Pontiac didn’t still baffles me to this day. They made a business decision to keep making crap Buicks but tossed the whole Pontiac lineup. Come on.
that's great and all but the normal person will not be able to afford that
If they made it so normal people could afford it, it would probably be a pretty shitty car.
Dream Big reach for the stars think small get small the world is your oyster!
@@sam8404 Scat Pack
Well....Yeah, especially considering it takes a challenger AND a camero... my question is of why they spend so much on the lsx when they could spend a bit more and just buy a on-base model of either the mero or the challenger then just tune that engine, instead of scrapping all the excess.
That said though, if people want it, they'll buy it.
DAMN, YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO MAKE ME A GM FAN! THERE'S NO OTHER GM CAR I WOULD EVER BUY, EXCEPT THIS ONE!!!
0:30 This is all I ever wanted.😅
I seriously hope that more people like these guys help restore the true art and soul of the automotive industry. And maybe bring back Pop-up Headlights again. Man alive, just imagine a modern, faster, better handling Pontiac Solstice with Pop-up Headlights like that. I'm honestly surprised that I didn't find this video until 5 years after it was posted despite all the Auto Enthusiast videos I get recommended. Haaa man, I hope someday that more younger people around my Generation are able to experience to truly enjoy having a car that we actually feel a connection to and don't have to go bankrupt to but and maintain.
What a simply Amazing Amazing outfit!
That black Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am is just incredible to behold, the look and the noise....is on another level. I think If I had a lotto win, I reckon this would be the car..and I say this as some one who most of my life has lusted over Ferrari's Lamborghinis, Porsche's and the like , these are just so much cooler, but unfortunately no outfits like this exist in Australia :-(...and we must convert these Camaros to Right Hand Drive, which immediately adds approximately $45,000 AUS to the cost, double :-( :-(
Naah, just drive them LHD, makes it more authentic. I believe there was a company in Australia that converted the third gen Camaros and Firebirds to RHD, right?
why didnt pontiac think of this??!! lol oh wait.....
Because GM wanted to keep 2 truck lines (why I don't know) instead of keeping the Bandit and Jim Rockford legacies alive.
Maybe cuz these guys bought the rights off GM haha
Pontiac: *Exists*
GM: hipity hopity you are no longer a company
@@WhiteComet_CA yes you are correct. Plus in order to have a Firebird/Tran Am, there must be a Camaro first and that because GM has always base that car off of that Camaro ever since 1967
Right if GM was smart they should go buy that shop struggling car sales my a come under Pontiac as I would love to have one of Trans An
Learned to drive in a '79 T/A . This brings me back. Loved that car .. Even tho the Tee-Tops leaked . Funny they mentioned something in regards in this video. Guess it was enough of an issue to address to remind you it's 2016 and they figured a way to keep them sealed. Awesome car/ hot rod.. One of these days..
Thanks Guys for keeping the American Muscle cars unforgotten, and those trans am are really nice master pieces .
This is why I never forgave GM for discontinuing Pontiac, think of what could have been. Great that these guy`s are carrying on Pontiac`s muscle car tradition.
Amazing, I want a 1000 HP Trans Am . 🇺🇸
No, you don't. You THINK you do, but 1000HP and the accompanying torque would twist the unibody into a pretzel. NO GM unibody EVER made can support 500 brake HP and 500 ft/lbs of torque applied to the stock suspension. $20,000 later, it MIGHT, in a straight line. Wanna turn? Keep adding money.
That company builds such beautiful Trans Ams! I have yet to see one on the roads out here in California, though!
Consider you all invited to my car collection when we can both get there at the same time. Keep going, love the work.
Is there any chance of getting pop up headlights?
ZozanneAndKPX I'm glad ugly pop up head lights are in the past haha
hopefully not. They would make the car serisouly ugly. Pop ups need to stay in the past.
If you buy an 82 firebird yes.
@TheHardcoreLife - Interesting comment, because hide away headlights where extremely desirable features when they appeared in the sixties. Buick Riviera, Dodge Charger and Ford Galaxie all had them and they sold like hot cakes - and actually made a very nice looking front end, smooth and contiguous. Yet today, they are apparently scorned! There's no accounting for changing tastes.
This is so bad ass a new word to describe how bad ass this is must be invented. 👍
when I worked at PreFix we used to do targa tops on Z06 vets . that set up you guys have is pretty bad ass
Pontiac might be dead but it's legacy lives on not only in the classics, but now in the newest fit and finish of a beautifully crafted, modern day Trans Am.
just because they put frosting on it does not make it a cake it's a Camaro with a face lift but awesome enyway
Hmmm so engines changed interior is changed front and rear body is changed suspension is changed wiring is changed whats left thats camaro just the shell right?
@@cotynietling2567 you still have that chunky, hotwheels-esque body there. What was beautiful about the old trans-am, camaro, etc. was that they were proportional and tidy looking. The original camaro was stunning. Modern muscle cars are, in my opinion, a bit overbuilt, and feel too chubby, and, in the case of the new camaro, trying to be too edgy.
Tallahassee is my next trip.
Would love to work at a facility like this one day building these cars. Awesome.
This is awesome guys keep up the good work looks better then factory cars.
I’ll TAKE a GTO ....PLEASE
So, it's a coachbuilt, heavily modified car that starts with a Camaro.
The orginal trans ams were based of the same platform as the camaro
This is too damn awesome. good craftmanship and attention to details
hey guys Giovanni from Philly. wow I wish my trans AM GTA had 454 engine some day. nice transformation
What happens if GM resurrects Pontiac? You guys start building Oldsmobile?
Who knows if Pontiac Division returns! Also Oldsmobile needs a resurection
GM would have to work something out cuz if these guys are buying Camaro in bulk they have some compaction on there hands
I think this is Pontiac bud 🤷🏻♂️
ELMO WILSON - I wouldn't plan on either of those brands coming back - GM got rid of them for financial reasons and that is the key factor in today's manufacturing considerations. If the car isn't selling, then there's no sense in making it! Half of GM's problems that lead to bankruptcy were they had too many brands and not enough buyers for them. I'll bet my hat, ass, saddle, and the barn you'll never see either of those brands again.
They should resurrect the Fiero GT
would you guys do a 79 ta?
no
I'm so sure they're taking requests
Worst year for the T/A
Erick Schmid the ugly one
Great work on the GTO.
you guys started a awesome company
Instant classics. Please do Knight Rider KITT.
With the hoff man. His comeback
Smokey and The Bandit: THE SEQUEL.
these cars look awesome! The t-tops look great and the idea of carbon fiber panels on one is sick! The front end of the vehicles emulate ones from the early and late 70's. Both are pretty cool, but I've always preferred the 77's. Only problem is the affordability to own one I'm guessing.
Very cool. Excellent work.
Tom Sawyer is the Designer. Where is Huckleberry Finn?
Unless it has a Pontiac engine, it's a rebuilt Camaro.
They built a car from the ground up with a camaro chassis... you’re spare parts aren’t ya bud.
By that logic Firebirds have been rebuilt Camaros for a very long time...
This car is absolutely stunning!
I’m lost for words a work of art fellas cheers.
.............I miss Pontiac even more :*(
Hmm, I thought I loved my new c7, this might be a try.
Wow.. What an awesome facility. If i hit the powerball i want a TA and GTO. Very beautiful cars.
Love the editing for his video. Well done
how much does one of those Trans Am cost
70,000
Dickey Moore
Dickey Moore 115,000$
Dickey Moore because of the price of the camaro then all the parts of the trans am
Dickey Moore they start from 115 thousand dollars... ;(
pontiac has to come back GTP,GTO,G8,GXP,SLP
These guys are basically bringing back pontiac. God bless you guys. Keep up the good work.
THIS LIKE ME! When the classic lines of a car are maintained that in itself was already beautiful.
But does doing this void my Camaro warranty?. 😉😂😂
Most likely, you noticed during that entire narration, they didn't mention that.
@@chrisrobinson3494 Right lol.
@@chrisrobinson3494 If I could afford such a car I don't think I'd be worried about a voided warranty to be honest lol.

i like every car they make, but it IS just a camaro with a body kit. a REALLY ADVANCED kit no doubt...
but if someone's gonna say it, i'll call 'em on it
Cool cars, buuuuut way way too overpriced. My friends brother has one,it cost him almost 100,000,im not even exaggerating
John Shinners thats not that bad considering all the parts and labour gon into it
I was guess it was going to be a lot more. Like $150k at least. And would they keep up with an Acura NSX of the same price. That would be a nice video to see.
Not bad considering a new Shelby GT500 is $107,000
That ain't too bad!
Love the hide away headlights! I gotta have mine in black w/a te-top. Glad you guys are making these. Too many Camaros & Chargers out there. This would stand out by itself.
Trully amazing!! They managed to make a car that looks like a mustang and comaro.
what if car companys built production cars like this?
Nitpicking: But the late 1960's GTOs shared the same chassis as the Chevy Chevelle and the Olds Cutlass, not the Camaro.
Awesome retro reproductions, but unless I'm just missing the timing, I have yet to see one on the streets or on the auction block at Barret Jackson/Mecum!
These shots are amazing
