UP and BNSF Action at Pepper (West Colton, CA)

This clip features a busy afternoon of action from the Pepper Ave. overpass at the east end of Union Pacific's West Colton Yard.
Typical UP action is viewed, and in addition, an excavator spent the afternoon tearing apart a derailed covered hopper.
Upon arrival I took note of a whole bunch of BNSF power on hand, which would eventually get used. One set became BNSF's HWCLBAR1 transfer run to Barstow, and another set was used by UP to drag out some Roseville-bound cars to Montclair to store until power and/or crews came available to move them to Roseville. That train used the balloon track.
