Im 56 years old. Have attended worship service and Bible class my entire life. I never even knew this was an issue among the Brethren. I tend to believe more along the line of Brother Mac Deaver. I also thought Brother Deavers charts and T and F questions was fairly simple. I didn’t hear Brother Deaver say one thing contrary to GODS word. Just my 2 cents.
I didn’t realize this was a point of contention until recently. I can understand disagreeing on this.. but disfellowshipping is a little extreme. This is an issue we should be able to debate but it shouldn’t be a fellowship issue. I don’t think God is going to cast someone away at the gates on either side of the debate because they misunderstood the role of the Holy Spirit.
@@SeekingchristdailyI thought the same thing, ROM 8:9. “You however are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ, does not belong to him.” So if we deny that The Spirit dwells in us, we cannot belong to him. That seems pretty simple.
