Honestly even as a Nintendo fan this shits overpriced. I do think they’re very smart abt how they pad out long development times for their big titles with smaller releases as I feel that’s something PlayStation and Xbox don’t seem to appreciate but cmon they should not ALL be sold at $60. It’s absurd when there are indie games providing much more value at a lower price. Like at the very least a lot of their Mario spinoffs should be at a lower price. I’ve been wanting to play Mario party with a bunch of friends for the longest time but I just can’t justify buying it at its current price on switch.
My take here is that if nintendo can get away with selling these games for $60 they will. If people are willing to pay that price why would nintendo not sell it for that price? Im certain once $70 or $80 games become standard people will get fed up and just stop paying for the games, forcing nintendo to drop the prices back down. That's how it works.
The vimm’s lair shit that happened really upset me, and might be the point that I just don’t ever pay for Nintendo products again, besides Zelda games…
"Who cares." People struggling to make ends meet and barely living check to check, Who can only allot enough money to buy maybe one discounted game a month. That's who cares.
Yeah, i just don't understand some of these fanboys. Do they not understand that other people barely make money like I've argued with Nintendo shills saying paying 60 dollars for a remake is a "deal" and then when i try to explain that some people probably can't afford it do to inflation. They'll get upset and defend it anyway saying that "gaming is adjusted extremely well for inflation" but it's not adjusted well at all these companies are just being greedy to consumers. It's still 60 dollars for donkey Kong tropical freeze and pikmin 3 on switch, same with zelda and Mario games. How are people who can barely afford anything in this economy gonna be able to buy new games. Some people couldn't even afford tears of the kingdom because it's 70 dollars. Sorry for long paragraph.
$10 for Earthbound was a little bit much for an already 20 year old SNES game, but at same time, at least I actually _owned_ it. NSO is fucking dogshit, being the only option now.
I think it really depends on how much they improve the original version of a game that warrants the $60 price tag. Luigi’s Mansion 2 is just a simple port and should at most be $50, while something like the Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door remake absolutely deserves to be $60 since it improves and adds on to the original.
"In Canada games are $100" Bro, as a fellow Canadian, I feel that. That's just for the base version too. If you want the fancier editions, you'll be looking at $130+ CAD
A lot of people on steam criticized the pricing of the battlefront classic collection, even though its two games for one bundle, you can easily buy the originals for a fairly cheap price. We are at a video game inflation
Basically what happened with mario 3d all stars having sunshine and that was 60 bucks with 64 and galaxy but there was no other way to play sunshine except paying over hundreds for the gamecube version or using emulation that Nintendo was trying to take down….

Heres a fun fact. Did you know the Gamecube was a failure compared to its peers? Did you know the Gamecube sold way less than the PS2 and OG Xbox (even though ive never seen a single person that owned an OG Xbox back in the day lol). Did you know it was outsold by its predecessor the N64 and its successor the Wii? Did you know the only Nintendo Systems it has outsold, disregarding niche console revisions like the Japan-only Gameboy Lite and Canada-only Wii Mini, was the Wii U and Virtual Boy?
I don’t even buy a lot of new games at full price let alone a barebones port of an old game. At that point, I’m just hunting down an old copy of the game, emulating, or waiting for a sale. Fortunately, I still have a copy of Luigi’s Manson 2 for the 3DS.
I’d agree about the whole “Release games for full price” if said games were fresh and creative. Remakes are neat, but for the most part (unless they completely rebuild the game from the ground up) a remake is the video game equivalent of walking through a store aisle and acting like the cereal you’ve seen every time you’ve been there and saying “This must be new.”
Super Mario RPG Remake was, indeed, a remake since it actually added things that were not in the original, I can justify that one's price, and apparently Paper Mario TTYD also changed enough to justify the price, HOWEVER I can agree that Luigi's Mansion 2 HD and DKC Returns HD are NOT worthy of the price increase, because they are NOT remakes, they are Remasters, since all they did was prettify the graphics without adding anything else, that is when they classify as a remaster, because it was not remade from the ground up, just ported and prettified
Honestly the last good remakes Nintendo ever did was wind waker hd, ocarina of time 3d, pokemon soul sliver and pokemon alpha sapphire. There's probably more i forgot about but that's the main ones people praise the most.
Thing happened too with the Mario & Luigi series. Superstar Saga was originally released on the GBA and was remastered for the 3DS for a pretty hefty price. It was reasonable as it was a better way of playing the game and was a love letter to the original release. It was a great reason the price was so. Although, they also “remastered” Bowser’s Inside Story for the same device. But its original release was on the DS, which was backwards compatible… The remaster wasn’t on par with the original version and was even worse than Superstar Saga R. That is an example of Nintendo being scummy and dumb..
The Steam Summer Sale is going on rn, and from it I bought Class of '09 The Re-Up, Doom and Doom II, Selaco, and XF Extreme Formula. These added up to about the price of one of those big budget Nintendo games. All good stuff, too. The Class of '09 games are hilarious, but they're short 'cause they're VN's, the Doom games are classics that need no introduction, Selaco looks great (still need to play it lol), and XF Extreme Formula is freakin' sick.
As a person who likes the Klanoa series and couldn't buy the original games because they are extremely expensive it was nice that Nintendo sold them both for $30 but $60 for every "NEW" release is criminal. it should be closer to $20 for ports and remakes.
that garbage cash grab burying the good name of the SNES "All Stars" Super Mario 3d All stars really woke me up from the nintendo drug, now I'm more cynical about them they i ever was before.
And the funny thing is Metroid Prime Remastered was overhauled for its graphical engine while costing a far more reasonable $40. You can tell Nintendo wasn't managing that one, because it's actually a decent value for what it offers. I love Nintendo for their new stuff, they make some great games and I look forward to Metroid Prime 4, but it's obvious they are treating their older games as cash grabs at this point. They aren't the same company that made the beautiful 3DS remakes of Ocarina of Time and Starfox 64 or even the Wii U Wind Waker and Twilight Princess that at least did something besides do what emulators already do for free.
Nintendo's best remaster/remake is Metroid Prime Remastered and it wasn't full price. What I'd be interested to know is if Retro pushed for that or if it's just another sign that Nintendo doesn't view Metroid as one of its key franchises.
These days, with how greedy board members are and the lack of creativity from devs no game is worth paying full price. Im more likely to spend 10-20 bucks on an indie game pushing boundaries over a 60-100 dollar game with less than we got a decade ago with more bugs, half the game being micro transactions, and run like crap despite looking amazing. They lost the plot. Make it look pretty, and guilt trip our base into buying this lump of shit.
I save lots of gift cards that I've received throughout the year to use them to lower a 60$ game when nothing new is added from the original. I noticed this with DKCTF many years ago. However, not everyone has gift cards to lower the 60$ price tag. So they got no choice but to not buy the game and save money. Honestly, this guy in the video is making such a big stink by calling people "poor" for not buying a 14 year old full price game. It's sad how much bootlicker he is.

And this is rich coming from Harman, he calls people poor while he lives in boiler room. How much you want to bet that this guy has zero responsibility, that's the only explanation why he thinks like this.
Boy oh boy harman where do I begin…
You know Harman, where I live Nintendo games cost 80$ and all the other aaa games almost cost 100$. Do you really think I'm going to spend that much money for a video game.
@@josuemauricioumanarodas same here they cost between 80-100$ + im Talking about triple a games and i remember a while ago like almost half a decade ago i saw cod bo4 retailing at 150$ just for the base game so while america pays 70 we always get this 10$ extra to pay or so 💀
I mean... Harman Smith is right. Nintendo dominated the gaming industry... back in 1980s. But for some reason Nintendo and their fanboys think 80s never ended.
Luigi's Mansion 2 is one of my all time favorites and I don't have my old 3ds or my copy of the game and don't have a pc capable of 3ds/switch emulation so 60$ is over priced but it's my best bet, but besides that I getting tired of these prices, no wonder I fell away from Nintendo over the years it's a shame, I know they're a company and stuff and I'll sound stupid but they made their greed more apparent for awhile now shame I couldn't see it when I was younger
“We are Nintendo, you cannot beat us!” ahh video
Oh boy Harmon Smith this should be an entertaining video😂😂😂😂
When is it not entertaining hearing his insane Nintendrone takes. 🤣
@@ProjectionProjects2.7182 yeah it's definitely entertaining to hear😂

For a moment I thought it was another kabullo video 😢
Kabullo is definitely one of those 17 year olds who would try to argue the original versions didn't exist because they got less sales
I would love to hear what he has to say about ports 😂
@@ross3695_basedhax prob just call them autistic.
That would have been funny, but I think Kabullo has gotten enough attention. He is basically the channel meme at this point.
@@ProjectionProjects2.7182 yea ig
@@ross3695_basedhax I still have the original Wii version, I will definitely buy the remaster too, you are very free to continue crying with sneakychomo and roaninchomo , just dont buy it(just steal it as always lol), I understand perfectly that for you miserable beggars accustomed to stealing, 60 dollars is equivalent to a week of bigmac and fries by mdconald 🍟🍟🍟🍟🍔🍔😏😏😏😏😏😏
As someone who repeatedly complains about Nintendo's wasteful ass pricing, this is just purely offensive. I just know that this diddler smells like pdf file.
Harman smith needs a nintendo intervention
Bruh how does this only have 4 likes?
Edit: Oh, it was only uploaded a few minutes ago
9:23 “Make no sales and make money”
Probably makes more sense in Harman’s mind
What is Harman smoking right now.
He looks like the wow player from south park
“Nintendo should continue being anti-consumer.”
even though I haven't played a lot of the nintendo games growing up, I don't wanna pay full price for them
If I had a dollar every time Harman had a bad take, I would make enough to own a PC of my own
The vimm’s lair shit that happened really upset me, and might be the point that I just don’t ever pay for Nintendo products again, besides Zelda games…
This fanboy makes me hate Nintendo
Always hate Nintendo
I left Nintendo because of their price increase but Harman made me want to never return.
$10 for Earthbound was a little bit much for an already 20 year old SNES game, but at same time, at least I actually _owned_ it. NSO is fucking dogshit, being the only option now.
Bro is not a fanboy bro is a meat rider
He doesn't have a door because his mommy took it out when she caught him cranking the hog.
That 60$ i could have bought
All the valve game, lego marvel, slime rancher, and still have enough for a full day of food
And 100 CAD is 75 USD. So, regular price with sales tax...
A lot of people on steam criticized the pricing of the battlefront classic collection, even though its two games for one bundle, you can easily buy the originals for a fairly cheap price. We are at a video game inflation
Wow, this guy must have never heard that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones... But what should I expect from Harmen...
Basically what happened with mario 3d all stars having sunshine and that was 60 bucks with 64 and galaxy but there was no other way to play sunshine except paying over hundreds for the gamecube version or using emulation that Nintendo was trying to take down….
Harman is poor shaming? No surprise there. 🤦♂
bro pulled a page from the griffin gaming 4090 drama

3:33 my favourite part everytime we talk about harman smith in your videos
In tloz LA remake they added dungeon maker, remade everything and made ut easier to get the kohilent sword
Would you guys say Harman is a "neckbeard?"
For him to be a neckbeard it requires him to have the testosterone to grow one.
I don’t even buy a lot of new games at full price let alone a barebones port of an old game. At that point, I’m just hunting down an old copy of the game, emulating, or waiting for a sale. Fortunately, I still have a copy of Luigi’s Manson 2 for the 3DS.
I seriously hope that Harmon Smith is playing a character.
To add insult to injury, when DK Country Returns re-released on the 3DS, the price was $40.
Bro really has the Mr.Goodman (SML) mindset
Ewww Poor
Also as a Canadian I will say in Canada, Nintendo games are actually around 80-90 dollars
this Nintendo fanboy looks like he goes to kfc and mcdonalds every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner 24/7 non stop.
This is one of the few times where someone can say that this is indeed insensitive.
He's one of many reasons I'm not a Nintendo boot-licker and why I also prefer old hidden gems instead of popular games.
This is always the same guy he must be rage baiting
Probably. But the people making videos about him make more views and by proxy more money. So he´s technically losing anyway. 🤣
I wonder what he thinks of sales, steam, Xbox, PlayStation and even Nintendo all all have monthly sales…
Legit was expecting this to be Moviebob
Make it look pretty, and guilt trip our base into buying this lump of shit.
the second i saw harmon smith i knew i was in for a ride
"Stop Being Poor" It's not about earning you know, it's about investing in what i know I need, and the switch ain't it no more chief.
i choked laughing when sneaky asked about why he hasn't bought a door for around the same price as the over priced switch games
Nobody should pay full price for near 2 decade old games. It's absolutely ridiculous.
It's sad how much bootlicker he is.
people don't have a choice unless nintendo puts them on sale but most main line game never go on sale
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Luigi's Mansion 2 cost $40 USD when it first released on the 3ds as Dark Moon?
Nope you are correct!
Bro ignored ChadCom
He shat on the Re4 remake because it was not on Switch.
So, the guy finally admitted that at what? Mid 30s? His mommy still buys his toys, so that's why he doesn't understand the concept of money or work
It's not my fault the original games are like 100 usd
