Resiliency builds a champion. That's the main reason why the Patriots came back from that awful deficit. The Falcons, I believe not only made costly mistakes, but mentally stopped playing football after building that large lead.

The worst of times (1st 3 qtrs) and best of times (4th qtr and OT) Falcons game plan was very pathetic in the 2nd half should've just ran the ball but were so aggressive playing not to lose. Freeman and Coleman were good rbs and Shanahan the OC at the time instead ran 9 run plays in the 2nd half!

The opponents' comebacks fell just short. And while the defense held on most of the time but we knew they were extremely shaky. Any pre-SB interview saw Falcons fans as cautiously optimistic, hoping aginst hope the Birds wouldn't blow it. The "no team has ever..." drivel by this narrator doesn't take into account the Pats/Brady were playing the Atlanta Falcons - a team with a history of blowing big leads in big games.
