This was easily the most painful game as a Broncos fan. Far worse than any Super Bowl blowouts. This was the most balanced Broncos team during the Manning era and to lose in such brutal fashion felt like a family member died after the game.
Wrong. This was Peyton’s first year as a Bronco and the expectations were not SB or bust yet. Easily? What? Lol. The seahawks blowout SB was far worse.

Had finally gotten my then-1 year old kid to go to bed late in the 4th quarter. When Jacoby caught that ball I found myself screaming “Go Jacoby, go Jacoby!!” under my breath so I wouldn’t wake him up. Still love the end zone shot of the play because you can see Broncos safety Jim Leonhard’s knees buckle when Jacoby catches the ball. When the Ravens unveiled their 25 greatest games a few years ago, it was pretty anticlimactic that this would be No.1.
I remember watching this game on the projector screen in the basement of my mom's friend's house, in a town called Bel Air, about 30-40 min north of Baltimore, baked out of my mind, like it was yesterday. An absolute thrill of a game the entire time, I almost screamed myself hoarse when I watched Jacoby make that catch and send a kiss to the heavens, thanking the Good Lord for that gift of a touchdown. That postseason was like a dream for Ravens fans, especially after the previous years utterly devastating heartbreak. Flacco played like a man possessed, proving he was (and still is) ELITE 😂😂😂 and they got to send off the face, heart and soul of the franchise, Ray Ray, on top. This is without a doubt my favorite Ravens win (although that game against the Vikings the next year when like 30 points or whatever was scored in the last 3 minutes is still pretty near and dear to my heart). From the Broncos POV I don’t understand how they didn’t fire John Fox after this game. 30 plus seconds left tie game with 2 timeouts and you have Peyton Manning at QB. Why in the world would you take a knee and send it to OT?

As a broncos fan, i think about this game nearly everyday, as well as the 1996 Divisional Match vs Jacksonville, two heartbreakers, but this 2012 one hurts more.
I think this is my favorite NFL game off all time. It had everything kick returns, crazy heroics, and a game winning field goal. I’m not even a fan of either team, this game was just that good.
The single greatest football gave I’ve ever seen. From storyline, game importance, legends on the field, on field drama, sun zero weather, back and forth double overtime and a great upset. I think about this game like it was just yesterday. Getting emotional just thinking about it.
Seeing this video reminds me of a thought I've had since that loss: If only Peyton and the Broncos got to play in Super Bowl 47 in New Orleans, Peyton's hometown, and won. How great that would've been for Peyton, especially 1 season back from multiple neck surgeries. If only!
As a Ravens fan since 1998, sure, I loved this game, BUT I hate the Orioes more. After we won this game and then the SB our opener was against, of course Denver. And of course, ya know, every SB winner gets the first HOME game of the next season. But the Orioles refused to move their game that week, so we had to fly to Denver and, of course, get absolutely wrecked against Manning. Now I'm Baltimore, born and raised, and I 100% hate the Angelos'
This game. This FREAKIN game! I will always stand by the notion that if Moore makes that basic play at the end, this Broncos team would have gone on to win the super bowl. This was definitely the most well balanced team Denver had in the four years that Manning was QB. Honestly if I had to pick, this would be the most painstaking game I've seen as a fan of this team since I started watching football back in 2005.
I dunno man as good as the likes of McPherson has been for Cincy after being drafted, many of the best kickers kinda come out of nowhere. This year's pro bowlers are Tucker, an undrafted free agent, and Brandon Aubrey, a former 3rd tier soccer player who didn't even play the position in college and got his experience in training and the USFL.
Had a professor who was a Broncos fan and I didn't really watch the NFL regular season at the time. Heard Payton's first few games hadn't gone well and asked my professor "what are they going to do?" His response "there's nothing to do, they have no one else." Glad it turned around but this must have been a devastating end.
The beginning of Justin Tucker’s legendary career deserves a deep rewind: the episode

I think this is my favorite NFL game off all time. It had everything kick returns, crazy heroics, and a game winning field goal.
I’m not even a fan of either team, this game was just that good.
elite playoff Flacco at his peak
Greenbay va Arizona
mann this is when i started following the broncos. heartbreak as a ten year old is brutal
Rip Jacoby Jones ❤
Rip jacoby jones
The single greatest football gave I’ve ever seen. From storyline, game importance, legends on the field, on field drama, sun zero weather, back and forth double overtime and a great upset. I think about this game like it was just yesterday. Getting emotional just thinking about it.
"punch in a touchdown" with ray rice on the screen is diabolical ☠️☠️☠️
Seeing this video reminds me of a thought I've had since that loss: If only Peyton and the Broncos got to play in Super Bowl 47 in New Orleans, Peyton's hometown, and won. How great that would've been for Peyton, especially 1 season back from multiple neck surgeries. If only!
As a Broncos fan this one broke my heart dearly
RIP Jacoby.
🙏
RIP jacoby jones man
Let's Go Ravens 🎉
What an underwhelming call by the broadcaster.
RIP Jacoby Jones
I am once again asking for a 2006 AFC Championship Game rewind
As a Ravens fan since 1998, sure, I loved this game, BUT I hate the Orioes more. After we won this game and then the SB our opener was against, of course Denver. And of course, ya know, every SB winner gets the first HOME game of the next season. But the Orioles refused to move their game that week, so we had to fly to Denver and, of course, get absolutely wrecked against Manning.
Now I'm Baltimore, born and raised, and I 100% hate the Angelos'
Tucker ending his promo with telling teams to pick him and going undrafted is a pretty good bit, ngl.
Please do a rewinder of Marlin Jackson's interception in the 2006 AFC Championship game that sent the Colts to the Super Bowl!!
My favorite Ravens playoff game of all time
This game, 43-8 and 70-20 are the Broncos worst nightmares to this day for 21st century Broncos fans.
Secret base upload?
It's a great sight
Any chance on a episode of Collapse on Manchester United post-Sir Alex Ferguson?
Best sports memory of all time for me
THIS IS WHY YOU DRAFT A KICKER
Tucker was undrafted…
You mean this is why you always do try outs for undrafted hopefuls. A team might get lucky and grab a position G.O.A.T.
Heard Payton's first few games hadn't gone well and asked my professor "what are they going to do?" His response "there's nothing to do, they have no one else."
Glad it turned around but this must have been a devastating end.
This was the game that made me love football
