EDIT: I stand corrected. It's 4 non- cold weather teams that have won multiple Superbowls. Oakland, Dallas, San Fran, and Miami have won multiple superbowls.
When the Super Bowl began 67% of AFL/NFL teams were cold weather teams. Since then, 3 cold weather teams have been added (Seahawks,Bengals, and Browns, remember Colts moved to Indianapolis, old Browns moved to Baltimore, then new Browns were added), while 5 warm weather teams have been added (Texans, Jaguars, Bucs, Saints, and Panthers) and one team became colder weather(Houston Oilers became Tennessee Titans)and one team became warm weather (Cardinals). Oh, yea and Rams went cold and then back to warm.
Probably because the teams have a massive homefield advantage in the playoffs being used to playing in the cold weather while warm weather teams have to come play in their stadiums.

While most reading this weren’t alive for Super Bowl 3, it’s to overestimate how dramatically that changed the view of the AFL and the Super Bowl. That year, the Colts had totally dominated the NFL and were anywhere from 21 to 35 point favorites going into the game. However, they had not scored even a point by the middle of the 4th quarter. After that game, everybody realized that the AFL was the equal of the NFL. I’ve watched all the Super Bowls from the very first one. Super Bowl 3 was the biggest upset of them all.
Not really. After KC's win an NFL or former NFL team won 22 of the next 27 SBs, and most of them weren't even close. (Miami 2, Oakland 3 between 1970-1996.)
Still, when it was 2 separate leagues, Joe and the Jets then Len and the Chiefs made them equals just in time for the merger. It is ironic that for those many years to come, it was an imbalance toward the old NFL, when there was no distinction between the leagues.

@@johnjones-hy4un lmao what does that have to do with the video
@@johnjones-hy4un It wasn't always like that. During the late 80's & early 90's when the NFC was winning all the Super Bowls, most of them blowouts, the AFC all-stars took it personally. It became a great rivalry. Some of the hardest hitting games you ever saw. Low scoring defensive battles. I looked forward to it every year. Now all 4 major sports have made it into a joke.
This type of content is the context we desire
Adding the AFL was a great move. I had the Boston Patriots who made it to the last game in 64!
Great video. The "sloppiest" SUPER BOWL goes to Super Bowl V (something like 11 combined turnovers). The "sloppiest" TEAM could either be the Broncos from XII or the Bills from XXVII.
Reed R The Rams in Super Bowl LIII, specifically the offense played pretty sloppy
Reed R definitely sloppiest team goes to the Bills in Super Bowl XXVII. They had nine turnovers in that game. That’s insane
Super Bowl V is sometimes refrenced as the "Blopper Bowl". I also remember reading that certain players from that Colts team didnt wear their SB Rings because of how sloppy that game was. Bubba Smith AKA Hightower from Police Academy was one of them.

Whoa, how can you possibly not mention the power outage during Super Bowl 47? Talk about unique.

Hey guys, awesome video, but tbf the money comparions are surprisingly not that different between then and today. $42k in 1967 would be worth about $114k today, so the players actually get a similar amount of money now as they did back in the day (in terms of purchasing power).
However, the commercial thing is spot on. Even adjusting for inflation, a $42k commercial in 1967 would cost about $320k today, but it doesn't, it costs $5.6 million. The real winners are the media companies and NFL.
