    Didn’t the night elves evolve from Trolls? If so, gonna be hilarious when Elune shows herself and she’s a hideous troll.

    That's a very interesting choice especially considering her latest in-game model (those shiny new blue eyes). You bring some pretty good points for this idea but I'm not sure she can be just that. Just a simple champion of Elune. Her past, her former identity must be taken in consideration in the future. Sylvanas was always a prominent character of the undead, of the scourge. There was Arthas and then there was her. Ignoring that entirely just for the sake of bringing her back. It's not going to be enough. At least not for me. It's a very cool idea, we know little things about Elune so you have a very good chance to create a very unique character. But regarding Sylvanas, whatever they choose to do with her as we move forward I would like for her to keep at least half, maybe even more, of her former self, of her roots, of the undead part of her.
    This next part is about Anduin in regards to "Arthas reincarnated". Since we are on the subject of titans/super entities that choose other beings to empower them for various reasons: good, bad, whatever, and I have no idea how notification works on your part for older videos I might as well just give this idea here.
    I have a speculation to make regarding Anduin. I think he is going to be Azeroth's champion. There's a line in the War Within cinematic that keeps haunting me since the 1st time I heard it (very nice performance by the actor btw).
    "I have no light".
    So Anduin is not a priest anymore was my first thought. Ok... But wait! If he's not wielding the power of the light anymore then what is he going to do in the next expansion? We need him for what is to come and he is one of the main characters in the plot.
    Then you had the end of Amirdrassil raid. Azeroth empowers the dragon aspects. So we know she can empower other beings. Then you have Anduin who is a perfect vessel for channeling all kind of powers. Afterall Zovaal saw the potential in him right away.
    It's a little bit on the nose, sort of speak. One super titan ready to be awaken and one worthy vessel for her powers, of which we have no idea how powerful she will be. She might even be something more than just a regular titan considering that over the years she's been influenced by all the other powers in the cosmos: void from the old golds, order from the titans, fel by Sargeras and his massive sword. One to stand above all.
    Or this idea of "Azeroth's champion"/power will go to the players instead since all NPC's in the game are already callings us like this. Which won't be so bad. I personally would love for a new class to be born out of this idea of "Azeroth's power". Wielding void abilities, fel, order, light in the same class would be cool. Anyway... time will tell.
    Some notes:
    sorry for grammar mistakes, english is not my native tongue
    I am just a very casual wow lore enthusiastic therefore I apologies if this ideas are way off base

    My old theory, before every speculation was: SYLVANAS = ELUNE (Elune is FUTURE Sylvanas) remember how Alleria & Veressa called Sylvanas '' Little Moon '' so yeah, that's is. :D SYLVANAS = ELUNE! :D So yeah, this is why Tyrande feel it and push Sylvanas into MAW, just to PURGE her, and, MAW & Azeroth's Time don't run the same way, this is eternity and if she return, she will return full purge, filled by light of redemption! :D SYLVANAS IS ELUNE! :D I'm first in this theory btw. :D Many of them laugh at me '' hahaha no, it's not possible '' but, YEAH, THIS IS POSSIBLE!

    She is gonna have plenty of time to find herself and her purpose in the Maw and when she comes back during Midnight when we go back to Quel'thalas, she will be there to protect her homeland once again. and quite possibly with some new powers, I think that much is clear. Whats not clear to me is where will she feel she belongs. I dont believe it will be with the Forsaken, not sure it will be with the Horde or the Alliance, but will it just be with her loyalists and thats it, maybe. I think Anduin and her sisters will be the biggest point in where she will stay, but it is quite possibly a redemption arc where she does become Elunes' champion.

  • @MeTakingAStand
    @MeTakingAStand 5 місяців тому

    honestly this would be cool to see as a redemption arc, and more broadly from a mechanical standpoint, it would be cool to see a different brand of magical archer class that's distinct from Hunters. I've always felt like Dark Ranger felt odd as a Hunter Hero Class, and maybe we could get some form of Elven-only Arcane/Dark Ranger class built around Sylvanas and her many forms.
    I'd love to see Blizz do this with a few other classes too (cough -- warrior -- cough); Mountain Thane never really fit in with the lore of warriors as we've seen them (besides specifically Muradin), and I do think there's potential for so much cooler class design as it pertains to prominent lore characters.

  • @torrigarnet
    @torrigarnet 6 місяців тому +2

    With that logic it would mean that Sylvanas was always put where she needed to be. If one is to become a God they have to go through trials. Much like Hercules. They have to earn it. But it isn't just trials of battle, they also must see the world from every perspective in order to understand and know what to do. Sylvanas was being tested this entire time. She had to go through everything she went through in order for not only her pieces to fall in place, but for others as well. IF Elune was in fact guiding and testing her than Teldrasill, Amerdrasill, the Aspects getting their powers back. These are all things to set up a person to understand their destiny and accept it. That was the final part with making her soul whole. Acceptance.
    So with the logic you have given it would stand to reason she was being groomed for greatness by Elune.

  • @Voidenergy1814
    @Voidenergy1814 6 місяців тому +1

    Yes,it kinda make sense Sylvanas being an agent of Elune without knowing,but if she is that means that Sylv relation with the horde and NE could change devinitlly,it also could threat Tyrande's position as Elune's favourite,she could lose the power from Elune and forced to go on a different way as kaldorei,there is also possible that Elune wants from Sylv to discover who was the true Jailer and to disguise him and his further plan he would want with Shadowlands and maybe with Azeroth itself,as she the only one left who could unmask the Primus.

    Interesting, but I don't think that Tyranda will be very happy with Sylvanas stepping up as the priestess of Elune. Even with all the souls rescued, I don't think that', or Malfurion settling down with her will make thing good enough that she could allow Sylvanas that honor. it is an interesting thought, but even with the new tree, that blazing memory isn't going to be wiped out anytime soon, even if Sylvanas has her soul back.

  • @hardwing
    @hardwing 6 місяців тому +1

    A nice analysis and definitely a twist if true.
    Still, I would rather bet on Kael'thas to appear in Midnight. This way he would get the chance to defend his home as he had wished he had been able to when Arthas attacked. He might help introduce the San'layn into the Horde to bolster the defence of Silvermoon, having worked in the Order of beings they were shaped after ... and if Illidan appears at the end of the expansion to warn us about the Titans coming, having them interact would be interesting to see.

  • @Ghostalking
    @Ghostalking 6 місяців тому

    I like that theory! It also fits with what Elune tells the Winter Queen. She said she sacrificed her people to send anima to the Shadowlands, but she didn’t do that, Sylvanas did. Maybe under the guidance of Elune?

  • @TheLantoniou
    @TheLantoniou 5 місяців тому

    OK, this won''t be done in game, I know, BUT... what if, during Midnight, Sylvanas loyalists in-game are contacted by one of the loyal Dark Rangers or eternal go-betweens like Lillian or Valeera and given a mission to help Sylvanas get beyond what seems to be an impossible barrier between her and an unknown number of remaining souls. But it turns out the "barrier" is powered by the much fragmented soul of the Arch-simp Banshee Prince himself, the pleasant and friendly fellow Nathanos. Zovaal did this especially so she would never be able to get to whatever is behind "him" unless she destroys the barrier and its power source. Blah-blah, missions to find another way to keep busy, earn rep, whatever. Maybe they help in the recovery of souls as the numbers tick down week by week, like the build-up before the opening of the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj or the isle of Quel'Danas.
    Meanwhile, anti-banshee forces get missions to stop the barrier from falling because they never want Sylvanas out of the Maw. Good place for area PVP, too. There, equity in game rewards.
    Ultimately though, Sylvanas must act as the General she is and spend her forces with greatest effect for smallest loss.
    (Digression: That's what "arrows in my quiver" really means. I don't know why people thought that phrase meant she saw the Forsaken as only cannon fodder. They were each military assets when in the field, and just as an archer must conserve their arrows until they can be used for the best outcome lest they are wasted and non-retrievable. An empty quiver might just lead into a bare midriff power-slide into certain death after all, and who needs that?)
    So, as both sides reach an accord that the barrier must come down, if only to release whatever remaining souls there are because otherwise, her prison will cost their redemption as well. Nathanos is "sacrificed" with a touching cut scene rendered in high quality because there should be more of those. People who hated him will throw a party or something.
    And what, besides the countless souls are back there? (Possibly all those soul gemmed folks with great power, blah-blah.) A way to create secure gateways between the Maw, mortal realms and the Shadowlands. Even commonfolk from Azeroth show up in Oribos in-game, so we know the living can go using the original portals in the game. But these transcend all boundaries, potentially even allowing dead souls in their relative afterlife zones to somehow manifest in the mortal world.
    Everyone agrees this is a Bad Thing and those are sealed away and Sylvanas goes back to soul collecting. Although she would like to go "home" again, she vowed to complete her sentence and she has more work to do.
    Until eventually, circumstances in the defense and rebuilding of Silvermoon come to some epic emergency crisis, losses are staggeringly Scourge/Legion level and Patch Villain is gonna annihilate the city and all of Quel'Thalas, probably a threat to the Sunwell too. There are multiple fronts and ground forces are nearly expended. (Dailies, weeklies, dungeons, etc.) during the end-game storyline, some people want to bring Sylvanas from the Maw for her military acumen, but the various anti-banshee leadership don't for obvious reasons. (Bring her back with control of an ARMY? Are you MAD? Etc.)
    In the lead-up to the final raids of the expansion though, Story happens and It Seems The End Is Near. Until multiple portals open throughout the zone, expelling the dead of Quel'Thalas, including Famous Characters, a giant ghost army like the Dead Men of Dunharrow, led by Sylvanas, with Kael'Thas and the ranger army that fell in the advance toward Silvermoon by her side. Their ghost army has limited time in the mortal realm for Lore Reasons, but they turn the tide and allow players to proceed to the Raid Patch. Sylvanas is allowed to stay but only under guard and for the duration of the war against Big Baddie. Maybe they give her an ankle bracelet. At the end, she will voluntarily return to the Maw, despite being granted a conditional release on the basis of her help in the war. While the souls of the Kal'dorei have all been redeemed, there are still the powerful ones from beyond the barrier. Plus, she will destroy the gate making potential and build new barriers around the Maw preventing it from ever being accessed again. Maybe the Arbiter can help. Or destroy it, or whatever when it is finally emptied. Hopefully in a cut-scene better than a couple of towers falling in Nyalotha.

    I'm sorry but Sylvanas as Elune's champion makes no sense.
    She may be called Little Moon, but that's the only thing that connects her to the moon goddess
    She destroyed the most numerous race and her greatest center of power and cult on Azeroth.
    During the duel with Tyrande, Elune saved Tyrande from self-destruction.
    Sylvanas tried to kill her sister.
    The argument about grander plans also doesn't make sense because she had no idea what was going on in the Shadowlands.
    If Elune really wants to find something in Thorgast, she's without a master at the moment and we've destroyed most of his forces, so it wouldn't be a problem to send Tyranda there
    If Sylvanas succeeded killed the Winter Queen and helped Zoval in Zereth Elune would definitely be in big trouble.
    It would also be a slap in the face for night elf players.
