Since Nexomon was way more linear than Extinction, I just went off instinct for my team building. It actually ended up being way more fluid and varied than my usual planned team approach I do in other monster taming games
Always think that some of the Nexomon designs are really amazing and it is quite impressive that over the two games they are completely different. Obviously helps that they are set in different time periods. It would be good to find out more about the 9 extinct Nexomon from Extinction and what ones they are based on if they have changed.
I personally wouldn't call the end of Expunk and Fetidoom's tails flowers (Expunk holds its tail like a firefighter holding a hose, which is why it's down by its chest). They work like flamethrowers. So the tips of their tails are flared open for that purpose. (Just a little critique of phrasing and pointing out a possibly mistaken detail, no offense meant!) That being said, thank you for the starter guide! I already beat Nexomon 1 ages ago, but having an actual well done guide is awesome and much appreciated. (I myself chose the plant starter!)
That's a really nice set of starter designs. I usually go for plant starters, but I really like the water evolution line. It's a nice mix of unassuming/cute and cool.
I like the way you compared the Nexomon 1 starters with their descendants in Nexomon Evolution (where available), but I'm pretty sure it was Monkapow that was the Nexomon 1 that you attacked you in the Nexomon Extinction in-game event.
Interesting take on the plant starter. I honestly thought it was based on the idea of combining a frilled lizard with a flower (very cool concept in theory for a creature in a monster collecting game imo) and so I always figured the name Petril was Petal + Frill and Frilia was Frill + any kind of flower ending in -ia, think Magnolia, Dahlia (who's colors might be most similar to this starter line's petals), Poinsettia, or Lobelia. I wasn't sure on Corozard aside from the obvious -zard being Lizard very much like Charizard and whatnot lol. Plus on the frilled lizard idea, I can see it with his petals forming what almost looks like a royal cloak that also somewhat resembles the frills a frilled lizard has around its neck. Just somewhat though he seems to be the most loosely-based design. So I like hearing your take on the starter line as it's way different to mine lol.
Also it doesn’t matter what starter you get cause you can get all the starters from the wild, also the fire from Expunk is coming out of it’s tail not it’s chest, you can see closely that it’s holding it’s tail

Acca also could come from A.C. alternating currant as apposed to D.C. direct current. The Band ACDC in Australia is commonly referred to as Acca Dacca.
Bevy also sounds like levee, a man made wall used to protect areas from flooding Also the flower on expunk is on its tail, holding it like a flamethrower/fireman using a waterhose
I love wind types/magic etc in all games, and the wind starter design is by far the best design imo too. (just looked up nexomon extinction and the wind starter there is... not quite my taste haha)

This is definitely one of the pros I have for this game vs. Pokemon, along with being able to choose a starter from any of the elements. It's just my luck that I actually came across a starter in the wild, but it happened to be the one I chose. Hopefully I'll come across another at some point. Considering a Legendary just appeared before me (and is now in my party), I'm sure I'll run into one eventually.

Also I agree the art style, mon designs snd the fact that you can capture everything in the wild is what sold me on the Nexomon franchise
@@nazeersadek6705 Thanks, I'll likely look into that should I decide to collect all the Nexomon when I'm through the story. For the time being I'm just going with the flow, collecting what I can, and taking in the game as I progress. I'm enjoying it so far though.
Late here, but these starters as a majority are better than Extinction's. Most in Extinction aren't good since they don't change much when evolving, or could've been just a two-stage line. Most of these are solid.
When I eventually get the physical copy of the collection consisting of both games I'll probably have as my starter for this first game either the Fetra line cause Wind-Dragon is awesome, or the Velokitti line cause the Cheetah is my most favorite wild cat and a Electrokinetic Cheetah sounds awesome and perfect.

I ended up going with Velokitti. I almost went with Sprunk, but I figured I would take the opportunity to go with an element outside of the typical three for Pokemon starters. I guess electric matches Pikachu, who is the sole starter in Yellow, but that's atypical for a Pokemon starter and I tend to be drawn to cats if they're available.

Personally, I think the Mineral starter is hideous. My favorites are the Fire and Electric starters in this one. I ended up switching the fire skunk out for a Barky as soon as I found one, though. I may switch out my Abbadog for the fire tiger, though as it had a rather disappointing movepool. Pretty much all the starters are overshadowed by other Nexomon design-wise though IMO.

You do get attacked by a Monkapow ghost, in the Immortal Citadel but some Blizstrong do attack you as well near the end of the story in the ice city.

The Fethra line is my favorite too! Just recently played through Bexomon on mobile. Was a blast.

The "th" in Fethra seems like to open up to a mix of feather and Dragon but with "th" spelled like "d" :D pretty cool
The entire Fethra evolution line has the word "ra" or "dra," which means "dragon" since there are limbless dragons in media and videogames.
Still strange that the Mineral one actually makes an appearance in Extinction but in a different form

A lot of the rare nexomon have better movesets than the starters in the first one. IMO the Earth element starter is the most viable at endgame.
