I am so sorry about your chicks and hen. Nothing worse! That's one thing that my ancestors never brought over here, foxes. Would have liked it if they had brought owls though. Thinking of you. Love seeing around your garden Heidi, so beautiful. My poor garden has suffered in this cold weather, the wind has scorched so much this year. No peonies, rose buds all balling, cosmos not growing and very spindly. Such a disappointment. However, I can still get joy from seeing yours. I am so sorry about your hen and her chicks, we are always plagued by foxes here too. So sad for you x
I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your beautiful Mother chickens and chicks - I know how much joy they gave you, and how much you loved them. I lost all my chickens to a fox or a mink many years ago. I hope that you will be able to have more chickens in the future, as they bring so much joy. Thank you 🙏 I have so many lovely people around me to cheer me up, I still have my other old hens that are in a luxurious state of retirement lol all were very upset to see the attack but we’re locked up in their own run which we have now reinforced, this morning I have a duck and 7 ducklings in our stream so joy is back xx

So sorry to hear about the chickens. your garden is wonderful and really suits the cottage. Maybe it's because I'm a June baby but this is my favourite time in the garden. My cottage garden is full of foxgloves and roses and looks like a fairytale
I have newly bought two hardy geraniums. I heed to repot one as it's leggy. I'm definitely not a tidy gardener. I have cottage and hardy tropicals. Slugs have been awful. Your van is incredible! Skol 🍻 How sad about your chick's. I'm typing as I watch. 😢

I’m not a tidy gardener, that’s why I have garden parties and open days makes me focus I procrastinate all the time, slugs this year are just awful.
