  • Danish high-end audio brand Bang & Olufsen is relaunching its iconic Beosound 9000c CD Player and sound system. The product is not new in any way or form-it's a refurbished original. The project is the second launch of the B&O Recreated Classic Series, a line of revisited old products that the company locates, sometimes acquires back, and then refurbishes to sell anew to collectors and audio enthusiasts.
The original CD player, envisioned by David Lewis, the British industrial designer who deeply contributed to B&O's identity in the '80s and the '90s, debuted in 1996 and marked a significant advancement in how music was experienced at home. Unlike the common CD players of the time, the Beosound 9000c distinguished itself thanks to a unique design with six stacked CDs in full view and advanced functionality. The player even allowed users to create playlists that spanned multiple discs, seamlessly transitioning from one track or album to the next without delay.

I love my 9000. Been running strong since 1997. As FYI-You can add all the new functionality by just adding a Beosound Core to the 9000 via the A. Aux for ~$1000USD.

@@AndrewPeterson599 Be sure Look up which pins of the Aux din socket are the correct ones for what you want to do. The socket contains both input and output signals and will send and receive at the same time. For example the Beo Core sends a signal to the 9000 from a media server to power my B&O speakers and the masterlink while also outputting that same signal to a separate amp for powering other speakers such as outdoor ones. The masterlink continues to allow different source materials (CD,radio) over that connection. You will need a din plug with four RCA type connections to set it up to do this. Good Luck!

I have 5 Beosound 9000s 3 in use 2 in storage. I'd love to get one upgraded. Any chance you know how much that would cost? I'm in Australia. Thanks Legend :)
