Thanks for the review. Make sure those quick connects are clicked on! We've soaked ourselves a few times too, trust me. If you keep having issues with them, please let us know!
I love this little piece of kit. I have used it for about 2 years with no problem. I leave it out all day in sun and get a hot shower. I use a CO2 cartridge bike tire filler to charge it takes 2 of them. It mounts to my ladder on my 4wd sprinter.
It would definitely help if you mounted it on the other side so the fill valve is towards the back of your rig so you can easily fill from your tailgate. Also makes it easy to turn the valve off when you are done using it.
Your right. The mount is only one one side so I would have to switch the WaterPORT to the other side of the rack. Originally I had plans to use something else on that side, but I’m going to get a second water port and mount it over there. One will have easy access and one won’t.
Thanks for the thorough video! Im happy to read you got the quick connect issue figured out. I will be ordering today. Sick setup with the RTT and hardtail. I went with RoofNest... iKamper is a super sick setup.
Hey check out Yakima and road shower for larger tanks. Also look into rinsekit for a small portable shower. What’s the bag you’re running off the tailgate?
I think its partially just learning to use it correctly. For the price I still think its a quality product and they just came out with a 8L tank that caught my eye. I mostly wanted to educate on the quick disconnect and how to properly check if its secure, I don't want to discourage anyone from buying this. In fact I'm still using it.
Thanks for a great review, I have two questions about water pressure please: 1- So when you lost the pressure after certain time, was the tank drained out completely? Or you lost the pressure but the tank still had water left and you had to manually pressurized it again? 2- Do you lose pressure gradually? meaning a full tank equals full pressure and a half tank or less equals less pressure? or the pressure remains the same?
Yea it was off but the handle wasn’t attached appropriately, so when I opened the valve it sprayed everywhere. Now I know… I double check that the quick connect clicked and is actually on every time, I haven’t had any issues recently.
Does it have a shrader valve where you can use an electric pump, that way i dont need to purchase the manual pump? If so whats the max you can pressurize. Tnx
If you pressurize with the hose you wont need to manually pump it. That was my attraction to this product over others, it has one way valves and self pressurizes if attached to the hose when filling. You would only need to pump if you were pouring water from the top. But, yes it has a shrader valve and also has a pop off valve, not sure what the max pressure is. I do see people use compressors with it.
Yes it has a schrader valve. You can pressurize the Waterport 3 ways I think. Max PSI is around 45 or 50 I believe. 1. use the water pressure from your hose (my suspicion is this will limit you to less than the 3.8 gallon volume as you are likely to reach pressure equilibrium before the container reached max capacity?) 2. Pump it with any shrader compatible pump (bike pump, filling station compressed air, or portable electric pump etc.) 3. Use the manual pump on the lid
Great review, with the quick release issues seems a little sketchy especially with water being a necessity out there. Hopefully they will fix the problem. I own a 2019 TB LT. I like your setup with the Putco rack system and the ikamper tent. Is that the mini, a bit pricey but looks like a quality built tent. How do you like it so far? Thanks.
Hey there! I know we're a little late to this review party but I think we have something pretty interesting up our sleeves! How would you like a, hot, full shower using less than one gallon of water?
Why use a bicycle pump when you can just use an electric tire pump!? Don't overlanders have an air pump? 🤔 It's too bad it doesn't have a shower attachment; and I don't mean the $150 add-on! You can't tell me that they couldn't have added a (Chinese) shower head for less than $15.

It’s working for me now, I had to get used to the proper way to grab it. 👍🏼 I’m a lot more careful lol
Is it 40 or 50psi the max? What's the risk if you go over? Will it leak or simply releases the extra pressure?
@@ckchoukif you listen in the video, 50 psi with a pressure relief valve.

Oh wow… I didn’t even think of the c02 cartridge I’ll have to give that a try. 👍🏽
I think you should contact the company as none of the other reviewers I've seen had this problem. Thanks for the video!

I’m wanting to get one for hauling my working dog around. Easy to clean their paws, cool them after bite work and hydrate.

Great review! Very informative
with your tests, did the tank ran out of water or did it just run out of pressure?
They have a larger one now👍🏼. I have the same one you have, love it!
Quick question - is the pressure bearable to be able to take shower , morning wash up?
Another reviewer replaced the flimsy Waterport fittings with brass from the hardware store. No more problem.
This is a great idea
Thanks for the heads up on this. I was looking to buy this but now I must pause and do more research.
I have had one of these for a couple of years NEVER a malfunction and great customer support. I highly recommend them very handy piece of kit.

It’s a Joytutus trash bag from amazon. Yakima just bought out the road shower and I might look into one of those 👍🏼
Halo Halo Hikers thanks man! And didn’t know they bought them out. Keep up the good content
An old timer once told me “ you got to be smarter then the pipe!”
Lol
Man the water port review you did was super super awesome man good stuff
Thanks for the review. I was planning on buying this. Maybe I’ll keep waiting until they figure the quick disconnect issue

I have the same question
I wish I watched this video before I filled my WaterPort. I experienced all those wet incidents you had. LOL
How much water was left in the tank ? If you connect a 12v compressor how long could it run?
I’m in the process of getting onboard air, once I get everything working properly I’ll have to test it!
@@halohalohikers3571 did you ever figure out how long it will run in center mode with an air compressor going from full water to empty?
So it pressurizes as you fill it up through the hose correct, while the cap is on? Is there a pressure gauge?
Did you have a different style hose?
Ours came with a coiled plastic hose
I was using the coiled hose that came with it!
Very useful video .. thank you .. any updates on that quick disconnect?
do you think it is powerful enough to clean mud off of boots?
Absolutely!
With the hose attached, was the unit valve set to OFF at the connection? 🧐

thanks for the review, how and where did you get the spray holder? I don't think mine came with it?
It should have came with it! I would call and ask them to send one out.

Mario Gomez thanks. It’s has been great for what I needed. It’s the Skycamp 2.0 full size. It fits my wife and I along with our two little kids.
Halo Halo Hikers thanks for the feedback. It’s only my wife and I, so I think the mini will work for us. Thanks again!
Do you know or can install this pump on the inner rail of a Silverado?
This is the best video ever. I'm so happy I looked up the water port, hahaha.
Is 40 psi
