Personally I feel that the best way to handle a "voice over" is to believe in the part you take on, embracing the role as your own. That way it feels less like "reading" and more like a real character. I'm actually proud when others see my performance and can't believe it's me. By creating an illusion that allows the viewer to belive the character is real is my ultimate goal. My fellow crewmates seem to be following this same rule.
Excellent! Glad to see someone willing to tackle war and it's evolving moral questions as well as exploring the darker side of humanity and the federation. Great work by all involved, I look forward to seeing more of your work.
also I like how they transported over 1200 officers to the ship...they have a full crew that can man all the stations on the ship...the plot can take any direction and than come back to the main theme like deep space nine...great work
It may also prove to be a huge problem with limited resources. No replicators and nit enough quarters.

I really like the concept of the strong Ferengi female lead character. Her Sabateour/thief background makes for interesting stories & visuals. The upcoming 2017 series should pick this idea up.

This was really good, a little silly at times but the risks paid off. I appreciated the violence as well a lot of folks that do Star Trek fan animation tend to not take these chances but in this case wow did it really pay off. What's pretty great is you had plenty of good ethical dilemmas worthy of Star Trek well done

That was really entertaining, well done. i have no idea why they would take a Star Fleet officer and promote him to a position which would simply get in the way, and i have no idea why everyone wanted to put down the Ferengi culture (though the Fereni made some apt replies for her race's point of view), but it was really good. when is the next episode coming out?
The admiral wanted to promote her friend. She needed a captain who would be ok with section31 involvement. By thrusting him into the position he had little time to absorb everything that was around him; therefore pulling the wool over his eyes until it was too late. Part 3 is in production and hopefully released September. Thanks for watching

13:00 Dude, you're the Captain. You don't get to abandon your own ship in the middle of a battle because you want to check on your girlfriend. Forget mutiny, abandoning your command in the middle of a fleet battle is tantamount to treason.
He didn't abandon it. The Switwind was adrift with no command crew. He assumed command of that ship and left his XO in command. Plus he wanted to ensure section31 didn't execute Captain Phwaana for alerting the Dominion.
Sending a boarding party to take command of the other vessel is reasonable - but leading such a boarding party is the role of the XO, *not* the Captain. The Captain's post is in command of his own vessel, and he simply *does not* have the luxury of choosing to leave the ship in the middle of the battle because he has a personal interest somewhere else. For a captain to leave their own ship during a crisis is an abandonment of their post, dereliction of duty, and neglecting their ultimate responsibility for the welfare of their own ship.
+Anonymous If the captain feels confident the XO can command then theres no issue. He was taking command of a ship that had no command crew and needed a captain. He was securing the ship because the wormhole drive was engaged and the ship was drifting. He didn't take a shuttlecraft and fly off to Risa.

There *is* an issue. The Captain cannot abrogate his own command responsibility. The Captain stays with his own ship; that *is* his post. He can't choose to leave. This is especially the case here, as the XO was capable of undertaking the boarding mission, and was about to do so until he was illegitimately overruled by the captain based on *personal interest*. Professional judgement played no part.
+Anonymous It wouldn't have made any difference which ship he was on. The Jem'Hadar were still going to board them. Yes of he course his feelings for Phwaana came into it. However his main concern was to ensure section31 didn't kill her for betraying them. If it was someone he didn't know he would still have done the same thing. Taking down section31 is a noble thing in his eyes and anyone who could do that deserved his protection. He doesn't trust the XO with that responsibility. He also needed to debrief Phwaana on all she knows about Section31

I'm going to be honest, I am a huge fan of Star Trek and I grew up watching the first and next generation in the 80's and I have seen every T.V. show and every movie and I'm not some new school lover just due to the 2 last movies but this is a great attempt and I'm sure there was a lot of hard work put into it but it's not Star Trek.. Lets not kid ourselves and this is someone's version of Star Trek and they don't talk that way and things are over exaggerated. Again, I know it's a lot of work and it takes a lot to create this and a lot of people but it doesn't capture what I love about Star Trek which is exploration of space. I believe Star Trek in general got split into 2 worlds and this world is about war and fighting among others in space and so it should be more like Star Wars due to all the violence and conflict. I don't understand why people took the exploration out of Star Trek and added a more war like feel to the entire franchise. The reality is that if we and other beings can achieve all this technology, we won't need to fight and the universe would have more than enough room and resources to keep peace and I just don't see the point to why they'd all want to fight. Fighting is beneath any intelligent species that has mastered this type of technology and they never think about how artificial Intelligence would also change everything and you never really see that in this and it's as if the technology is compromised so it leaves room for war type fictional writing. Deep Space Nine truly went into just a war like world and took away from the original purpose of Star Trek which is to explore strange new worlds and to seek out new life and new civilizations and to go where no one has gone before!!! That is Star Trek and this war and constant war like Star Wars in which they just repeat plot after plot of just war and never even explain anything at all.. I understand conflict creates drama but it should be done lightly like in The Next Generation in which they are exploring and sometimes they have to engage like when they find the Borg and have no choice and those are amazing.. I can admire the effort but I hope some of you get where I'm coming from..

I think its very much Star Trek! Moral dilemmas and wanting to do the right thing, but compelled by actual incidents perhaps have to rethink core values. It doesn't matter, that the graphic is a little "90ies" - the story is great (and I always wanted to know what happened during the Dominion Wars - and after)

The anger in his comments suggests an unstable mind so I have chosen not to engage in a futile argument. I have however copied some of his comments minus the filthy language to address hi points.

You have completely missed the point. The story represents all genders equally and draws a parallel to modern day society; we see cultures where some women are forced to cover up their bodies from the eyes of men for religious purposes. In liberal countries this is not enforced like in others yet women still wear this full cover. It is not a judgement of their beliefs it is merely a reflection of what goes on. IDIC philosophy dictates all diversity is welcome.

So I am loving this cartoon even more. Audio was much better this time around. Voice acting still meh but seems to be getting better. at least for a few of the actors. Loved the B'Joran with a Batleth. Uh one small criticism tho. You have just survived a massive battle with the Jem'Hadar you are being sucked into a worm hole with potentially fatal consequences and you have a naked feringi joke during a stressful situation. It was a really out of place joke. really awkward and did not fit with the rest of the episode. I get the joke it was just in the wrong place in the episode. May want to consider rethinking your joke angles for future episodes. Just a thought.
Its a matter of taste really. I think it was in the right place. A future story will reveal all on why she insisted on stripping off. There wasn't a joke as per se. If anything it was a comment on women who are oppressed in today's society by male dominated cultures . Thanks for the great feedback !
May not have been a intended as a joke but that is how it comes across. would have been better if it was placed after the danger subsides. Or even better not at all. I get the oppressed woman angle. really I do. However it just seemed out of place with the events surrounding it. Maybe if she did something constructive like become chief engineer, or command a mission or two. showing her capable side. If you make her a joke your message will not get across to as many people as it should. Case in point.. people like me. However I do like the Idea of a female ferengi serving on a Starfleet vessel. Please expand on that. Nog is still one of my favorite star trek characters... ohh and WTF is up with her Arms. They seem to be all over the place?

M Lau If you look at the phasers its a pink beam. It had upgraded illegal tholian triolic crystals like the Quantum and Swiftwind had. Oberth are still in service in TNG era.

Well i played the alien doctor in this and I'm a voice actor who does multiple voices. It's NOT easy, but I know that this production had MANY good actors.

The effects made me want to kill myself, the animation is choppy, the voice acting is poor at best, but the script is fairly well written and the creators clearly put love into it.
