I don't really know what people were expecting to see from ETH at this stage. This is her first competitive 100m outside of the Jamaica National Trials and she is coming back from injury as well. I am just happy to see her running an individual race again and I saw evidence of improvement. I believe she will only get better. In the meantime, congrats to Sha 'Carri, a very relaxed and smooth race that was.

@@akiijarvis7440 I don't know if you are addressing this to me or just making the statement in general but I have ALWAYS been a strong advocate for Sha 'Carri. I am NOT an American but I love track and field and recognized this young lady's talent from early on.
What happened over the last few years was indeed a shame but I have argued on her behalf throughout, that she is young and will make mistakes as has ALL OF US.
I am extremely happy for her successes over this whole year and expect even more in the future.
Having said that, I also recognize the HUGE talent that is ETH and I had always liked her too. I wish her the very best going forward and look forward to a competition between these two at their best. Which ever one comes out on top, I will be happy.

@@sashmolinton5649 you need to understand that someone who has been running fast has major injury where surgery was done say like a Yohan Blake with proper training it takes a short period of time for them to be back at there best.
Therefore it should not take too long for Elaine if she is getting proper train and they manage to keep her injury free, she said she is fit so let us see.

Shacarri can only win when the Jamaicans are running under injury. Why didn't she beat them when they were at their best without injury while they competed together!! Life has ups and down. We know the runner Shelly and Elaine is once they're fit we already know Shericka is a bronze and silver medalist in the 100 so there's no surprise sherika speed kicks in at the 200 m a 400m runner is not train to run the first 100 with speed so thats something she is working on as a new 100 runner. Remember Shacarri had no injury and Shelly, Shericka and Elaine had no injury throughout 2021 season and they all beat her.

She beat Shelly Ann's championship record. Ya really think that record was set by an injured Shelly Ann?
The big girls only ran her over before because she wasn't confident in herself. It wasn't because they were so much better than her.

Sha'carri was recovering from breast implant surgery all last year and made no excuses. She also beat Elaine last year when they were both struggling. The only time she was beaten barely by the Jamaicans was in the Prefontaine Classin in 2021 and that was after she was suspended and unable to train for an entire month. That was the worse race of her entire profession career. Sha'carri also started her profession career off 3 - 0 against a healthy Shelly-Ann. Shelly-Ann was a ke to even the score in 2021 and Sha'carri just beat her in Budapest and she was healthy in Budapest. Just because she sustained an injury in the 4x100 doesn't mean she was injured prior to that because if she daid herself that if she were injured she would not have run but yet she did and she lost.
