Corporate greed that is now Normal in this day and age, 2k wanted to sell a skin for 2.50$ and Riot sells there skins for 30$+ Yeah sure. Corporate greed ok.
The devs for evolve pushed microtransactions like it was necessary yes it was cheap but the way it was handled was horrid. That isn't even the main issue. The servers and balancing was horrid and can be linked back to greed since they were to cheap to expand when they should of and then the dlc debacle which is debated at times if it was ok or fucked. Ultimately mismanagment but greed could be a way to since some of the mismanagment was due to them not wanting to spend money
The unthinkable had happened, Stage 2 is getting peer to peer servers. The legacy ones were down for a month and we asked for them to be fixed, didn't expect to see stage 2 back also.
The game is having major issues with peer to peer connection, everyone on all platforms can't connect to play multiplayer, we are in mass worry for the games survival. Please voice this if anyone can, many of us still love and care for this game. This has been happening all week.
This game was one of the best but the studio missed so much, we could have insane e-sport, streaming etc. This game can have a futur, i need a reboot. I imagine a huuuuge world, maybe open in which you can hunt, create bases from loot etc, a bit like hunt showdown but bigger with more content. I also would like to see the original gameplay back.
I can see that honestly they should try something it would be a really big success even if it didn't get traction right away it would definitely grow bigger within a few months they failed once I'm pretty sure they wouldn't screw it up a second hopefully.
I enjoyed playing it the first several months it was out. I pretty much said No thanks when it came to the microtransactions except for maybe one medic, and it didn't bother me choosing from the base characters. It was just that the the community was absolutely dead very quickly.
Dude I used to play this. I had a hell of a time, it was a lot of fun. There was a lot of shit that made it unique and fun to play but it's honestly really sad that it died out
There is still a small community of us on all platforms, mainly xbox and PC. I play on xbox and there is a club of 10k members and even groups chats that get games going almost every day. We welcome any new players and I even personally help new players by teaching the game as there is a fair bit to learn and consider.
How’s evolve on PlayStation? Was looking to see what would be worth the purchase: base version or the “ultimate edition”. I don’t believe all the extra content to be on disc, I think it comes with a code.
Actually you can still play Evolve and many people still do. It just isn’t getting new content currently is all. Hope it gets picked back up with a less greedy model. I feel it will considering how much they invested into it.
Being the monster was extremely fun. I did want to see more game modes, maps etc. logged in one day and it was extremely difficult to even find one match! RIP Evolve

Definitely feels that this game was ahead of its time and had they dialed back all the microtransactions as well as kept adding new maps it probably would've succeeded.
I think the players also had a hand in killing evolved. As high skill monster players devolved a Stage 2 rush strategy in the game which was pretty hard to overcome, it took a lot of the fun out of the game for me, no more hunting or tracking the monster, cause he will come and kill almost you before you even had a chance to track him at all. That's what took the fun out of Evolved for me
Understandable skill issue. You could always swap the role and play only monster. I played both and the problem was not only the skill issue but the matchmaking so I ended up using exploits to annoy the monster player as a hunter because one guy can't carry the game for hunters if the monster player has an IQ above 80 the very least and knows what to do on each situation.
I really liked the game honestly I had an idea for this type of game but set in the X-MEN franchise like you plays as mutants in the x-men lineup and you fight sentinels or other x-men villains like magneto, juggernaut and apocalypse among others
There are so many variables in a single game of evolved when you look at it without all the dlc walls. Each monster/map can change the hunt drastically, then you consider the selection of hunters and all the skill levels involved.. how well the players each cooperate and know their class. And how that all applies to the given mode, map and monster And all of that is lost to so much bullshit. Such a tragedy. So much hard work must have gone into what the game has.
The one thing i don't like gaming industry is the fact that there are too many ips like this one or anthem or what spacelords will be and nobody cares to acquire them and resurrect them. Every time a new game is out the publisher shows that "we care about players ' opinion" , players give tons of feedback. Publishers don't care. Player base starts to decrease dramatically and afterwards the publisher announces "the game didn't meat our expectations!".
evolve 2 is something we all right about now. this game was fun, but it sucked to have the payed stuff locked behind bars. and ow came out around the same time in 2016 after it started to die. feels bad man.
It was a solid game!!! Ahead of it’s time. One of my favorites of all time. If you dove deep enough it was balanced by skill. Most people’s problems while playing the monster was that they just attacked way to early. Needed to at least get to stage 2 if not 3! It was a game of cat and mouse. A really extraordinary gem of a game. I was sad that it was so short lived
I only remembered this game exists because dragon ball ball breakers is basically the same thing, just instead of monsters evolving and getting stronger, it's dragon ball villains going through there various forms

It will thrive in this climate. Mass online shooters like Overwatch and Fortnite are the norm now. In fact I might go back and play some of it. Haven't touched it for 9 years. Maybe I judged it too harshly and it needs a play.
This game came bundled with my PS4. I figured I’d give it a shot since it was free. I couldn’t find a lobby. It wasn’t even that long after launch either.
@@mikeduke57 It's just like playing the Multiplayer modes except you have computer-controlled teammates! I had a blast playing through each monster's scenarios.
This is one time where I’d agree with the Devs that said that the game was ahead of its time. Yeah, after bombs like Back 4 Blood not holding up what the Left 4 Dead valued most (the pick up and play value), I think an innovative co-op vs monster would’ve been incredible had it been released later. Especially with the graphics upgrades that are being sought now with 4K and such, I think that would’ve made the game a massive success
i still remember that if you pre ordered evolve you got the behemoth monster for free, people who didnt pre order had to pay 20-25 euros for the monster
I need a billionaire that doesn't care about this game's profit to make this game a sequel cuz it really deserves it omg I feel like one of the things that could've saved this game would be new game modes, modded lobbies, more monsters, and less (or at least less expensive) microtransactions. Speaking of which, we're criticizing the microtransactions now in the age of battle passes and free-to-play models, but Evolve wasn't part of that time, so we should cut it some slack.
Yup I wanted this game when it came out, didn't have friends to play it with, saw that without buying dlc you were locked to like 1 or maybe 3 monsters with another 10 or so behind paywalls and didn't buy it because of the dlc problem.
i really wished i go the chance to play it, it looked so fun to play, maybe there could be a sequel made to fix the game's problems and maybe add a story mode for both sides.

just say ur clip its insane, and i completly agree. I used to play evolve alot and the skill gap is immense. Bur i miss the game so much, we need a sequel or an other game with a mechanic that is similar. some game has been released with a ''monster'' mechanic but none look like evolve visual wise and gameplay wise.
Evolve was a great idea and I loved it for the first week or 2.
I remember being super hype for this game until everyone started crapping on it, so I passed and never got to play it. Its crazy to see how rad this game still looks all these years later. Truly ahead of its time but just poorly managed... What a waste...
I own this game I thought it was ok. I love your channel keep up the good work 😎
played this game all day up til it was shut down. still sad. game is ahead of today's time.
