I have a vst (AM prosolovst 2.04) and it has already predefined mappings, but i cant clear them because it is totally messy tho. Do you know how to clear all pre defined mappings?

Goldmine channel, thank you very much.
The only thing you didn't explain is how did you change the midi channel to 2 in 12:00 ... did you press something on your controller? how did this happen?

I would also like to know this. Anyone?

@@scottdempsey7277 it is a controller specific thing. You need to look into the controls and the manual of your controller to see if and how this is possible. For example, I have a NI S keyboard, it comes with the controller editor app where you can create scenes. You map your knobs to the desired midi cc and channel, and then create another scene, where you can assign them to a different channel and cc. Then, there are some arrow buttons on the keyboard that you can change scenes with them. So it's not a setting you can do in reaper, it's all on your controller.

@@Agiyi Thanks, I thought that may be the case.

Is the Presonus Faderport not able to do this? I've been watching your videos trying to figure out how this works. It gives me "The following MIDI inputs could not be opened: FaderPort" Message. Thoughts? It's a Faderport Classic. Works just fine with all other functions. Maybe it's a driver issue? Thanks!

Hey, is there a way I can control plug-ins through the Piano Roll? Im trying to figure out how to control a wah effect with just the piano roll in Reaper if possible.

I have my Keylab Essential set up as a Mackie Control surface in DAW Mode. I'd like to set up a user preset to control plugins, but when I try to do this techniqe, reaper is not recognizing my input as CC messages. It just stays blank on the learn page.

Hey Mitchell. Did you ever figure this out? I am able to control VSTI's like Serum and Kontakt, but Pro Q 3 is having none of it.

I'm trying to find this out as well. About to bravely go where no man has gone before (seemingly?) and buy one for this very purpose. I think it should work, we'll see. I will report back.

    Excellent!!! Great videos Kenny, Thanks.
Someone asked me about using a game joystick controller as a MIDI pitch bend and just assigning the buttons for vsti in Reaper, is that possible in Reaper? If so, how could you set it up? Reaper is a very very great DAW, Thanks for all your tutorials Kenny.

it would be so helpful if you can help me. im new to reaper, when i put a wav file in reaper and start new project the default bpm is 120, but the instrumental im placing is 95 so when i try to place delays with vocals its not syncing with the beat because reaper says its 120 and its really 95. how do i change it to sync correctly. please help.

In your Transport section (play, pause, stop, etc) you can set the tempo. Set the tempo first, THEN import your tracks.
That's the easiest way. If you add the audio before the tempo change, Reaper will adjust the speed of your audio and then you have to go into each audio item and change the setting to TIME rather than TEMPO.

Vampire Step-Dad is there a way I can find out a beats bpm when I'm dragging it in to reaper?

select a few bars of the loop, right click on the timeline and choose "Set project tempo from time selection (detect tempo)"

    *edit*
Sorry to bother you again! Quick question-
Let's say I have 1 instance of Kontakt, but 2 patches loaded in that instance. Each patch is routed to their own MIDI/Audio track (Like in this video- ua-cam.com/video/8CzL_7NPysk/v-deo.html ). Is there a way to assign a parameter from each patch to the same fader/knob and write them separately? (ex: 1 instance of Kontakt; 2 bass patches- I want to assign the attack parameter for both bass patches, to the same fader, but write them separately)
