- It feels like we're not getting anywhere with the move, but looking back, we have come quite far. I guess it's a marathon not a sprint 😅

Look up, you have a ton of space to add storage. Think tall pieces of furniture, cabinets and bookcases that will make the most of the vertical space. 😁
Great idea 😃 lots of space just need to make the decisions on what pieces to get!
I agree a small but large book case near the TV in the bedroom would look great as storage for the boxes 😉
I use a doona/duvet cover on my couch and it works great. My dog is always on it so the couch stays clean and I can just chuck the cover in the wash when needed.
And maybe put the desk where the new cabinet is now to get light on your workspace, and put a larger wardrobe/linnencloset where the desk is now?
I would suggest larger and taller closets! You have so much space, and yet you buy small furniture. If you would choose a very tall closet, you could also use it for bedding, boxes etc.

Put a darkening/blackout pull down blind in the bedroom window behind the curtains so you can sleep better (or a blackout curtain layered behind your curtain. I would put the cupboard under the window on small legs (It looks odd on the floor).
I used collapsing boxes for clothes storage and a clothes rod for 5 yrs when I moved to Germany... there are so many options... you could put something on the back wall of your waredrobe room.
It’s the hardest part of moving, putting stuff away and not having the right storage, so much harder combining two peoples stuff. You’re doing a great job making it home. Can you get block out roller blinds for the windows and keep the lovely floaty curtains ( hemmed). That way you have both blockout and beauty and when they’re rolled up they don’t cover too much of the window.
I think that’s a great idea! They’re wayyyy too sheer right now :)
If the suitcases are empty, you might be able to store them inside each other depending on size

I would maybe shift your desk and drawer to the window near the bed, to create a more harmonious workspace, with all your clothing neatly together. Its looking adorable over all! And i like the slower pace with the refurnishing. Makes it authentic because thats how moving is. you're gonna find a home for everything as you make your new home your own 😊❤

Love seeing everything come together! I would recommend getting rid of the armchair and put a Pax wardrobe there instead, you would get so much more storage space!!! Make use of the vertical space instead of buying small furniture! ❤

I would put the desk under the window & get a large chest of drawers or 2 & put where the desk is! I know Hailey wants to stack but then your faced with the same problem in the cabinet as out - when you pull one thing out the rest come tumbling down... I'm sure you could use the yellow cabinet elsewhere in the house since storage is at a premium?
What about moving the couch to the other side, get storage (shelving units or a big dresser to put the TV on) on the other wall and what you have for the TV atm at the end of the bed. It gives you more space, seems more fluid and you'll get storage to hide everything 😊

I know you already have the nice tv cabinet and you were going to DIY it, but that wall is so huge and could have TONS of storage with a bigger piece!
Also, the yellow cabinet with the folded clothes… I think you should get a second for more storage! Two side by side would look so nice!

I could be wrong, but a lifetime of organizing clothes tells me you’re probably going to hate stacking all your clothes in that cabinet.
You pure not wrong 😅 BUT I did find a chest of drawers on the side of the road for free so I have a new project incoming that will solve that issue haha

Maybe move the desk under the window and move the cabinet to the wall? Maybe, said with kindness, get a taller cabinet instead? There’s v little cohesion in the room so far - looking forward to you finding your way.
Maybe a mattress topper could help I find they do when the mattress itself isn't the best or the frame is hard. Just install shelving if you are allowed but agree with her about those cabinets but they need legs I think :) you might need a slightly deeper and larger pot for the snake plant I have used a tall vase before and it works well with rocks :)

So happy you posted ... I was unmotivated with my own decluttering and moving project... but seeing your videos always helps for a little while to feel less gloomy ❤ why didnt you het a bigger unit for under the window. There would have been enough space for two of those I 🤔 think.
I have just moved as well and I relate so much with all there is to do and to put away, and find places for everything. It's great but tiring. Good luck :)
I realy feel like of you got rid of that itty bitty useless little tv console and the way-too-big coffee table, you'd have space for a proper chest of drawers. That tiny little cabinet is not in proportion with the room size and it won't be long before you run out of space again.
Also, maybe if you move the floor lamp closer to the closet, you'd be able to see the items inside better, especially at night
if the second seating area in ur bedroom isnt essential maybe consider putting your clothes in that area? You could devide the room with a curtain and then you would use the closet closet for other storage or so and your clothes wouldnt be so cramped :)
I looove this idea but I think the dogs have taken over that area 😂😅 so it’s too late to kick them out! Otherwise that would be a perfect place for the rails
Cane hampers & big baskets are good for storing jeans, sweaters etc

- You can tuck in that sofa cover using a wooden spoon, if you can find one! Basically, you use the spoon hand or bowl part to tuck it deeply into the sofa corners and "joints." Search for hints on how to do it online!

Idea: what about turning the sofa so that it faces toward the bed, but with 2 meters, or what ever, in front of the window. Use this space behind the sofa to hide things/ storage.
I love moving stuff around so next time I do I might try that and see if it doesn’t block the sliding doors :)
