I have SO much respect for her response to the complimentarian / egalitarian question at the end. One of the most balanced and well thought out responses I’ve ever heard.
Completely agree that we’ve made a complete circus out of a false dichotomy where it doesn’t need to exist. We’re gifted with and called to submit to the Holy Spirit and use the discernment that It provides, regardless of the gender of the body the gift resides in.
At the same time, mad, MAD respect for her willingness to submit to a leadership that’s following what they have thoughtfully considered scripture to be directing toward than one that’s looking for a way to justify a path away. What a phenomenal surrendering of the human will to Christ.

I've read through some of Dr. Richter's work while doing my thesis. It was a rigorous piece of scholarship, but sometimes a bit dry. I am so delighted to see how engaging she is as a live speaker.

Absolutely brilliant! And, during the question and answer segment when she gives a sound bite on Genesis 1:27, tears! Adonai love for women captured so beautifully, clearly...

This gives me hope. I am nearly 50 and I have lived most of my life thinking women are 'second rate cirizens' in some ways and that God wills it to be this way. It's painful to have that belief and try to trust God. Now I am starting to look at my relationship with God differently. Thank you.

she made a great point about not being allowed on the platform but the membership truly loved God- and loved her-----that does not always happen--if a woman shows gifting in "forbidden " areas or even claims to be egalitiarian, she is called names, her salvation disapdraged---no love of God shown to her at all.

Ask her about the Judge/Prophet Deborah in Judges Chapters 4 and 5. Defeating the Canaanite king was kind of important. 😊

At what point should a woman, or a man, part ways with a specific church?
What should a person do if they attend a church where the Pastor has said that women teaching, or preaching to, a man, is in direct rebellion against God, meaning it is sin?
Should the Pastor not be rebuked for false teaching, for putting himself in the place of God by saying he gets to decide who uses the gifts dispensed by the Holy Spirit, and for being the one who is actually creating division within the body of Christ?
All Christians have a duty to make sure that no one is marginalized in the church. All Christians have a duty to make sure that unbiblical manmade doctrines, ie, calling something a sin when it is clearly not sin, are challenged and refuted. So let’s call it what it is, spiritual abuse. It doesn’t matter how sincere someone is about what they believe, they can be sincerely wrong. If spiritual abuse is not corrected, it will persist and will continue doing damage to the body of Christ. Furthermore, it is Satan who benefits by keeping half of the body from fulfilling their purpose. Christians should always speak up and should challenge when a teaching is clearly wrong and disparages half of the body of Christ.
May the Glory be to God alone.

    wow-----
great teaching about the laws of the past
if only patriarchal believers of today would follow suit and allow christian women their full spitritual growth as individual christians to seek and hear from the Holy spirit without a man's authority over her.

She said that in Genesis 2 Yahweh is "MIMICKING a Babylonian and Egyptian animation ritual by which the pagans animated their idols, and that's what Yahweh is doing as He crafts us from the dirt..." Yahweh mimicked something that had not yet occurred. 🤔 WHAT?

//Does the Old Testament Dehumanize Women//
Preposterous question. There is literally no place in OT that suggests that women are somehow not human. Difference, yes, but not in another category in terms of species.
Concerning matriarchies, people should study this a little. There is historical examples and it isn't pleasant. Also it seems that women have more say and dominance in the underclass of societies. Must look up the research again.

You just have to remember, it's her choice to shame and disgrace herself. I don't mean that personally. It is not ambiguous what the Bible says about women in ministry, and sugar coating the scripture is a growing culture unhitching itself from the Bible. It definitely confirms that it doesn't matter how many degrees and different Bibles and different languages they've read them in, Gods word is final, and so will be His judgement, on the final day.

I want to say this in love so please try to receive it that way. First off, she is doing nothing but glorifying God, he gave her her gifts and talents. Secondly, the church does permit women to teach other women, you are not present in the audience to know what the ratio of female to male is, and maybe the men are there to watch over what is being taught to their lady. Thirdly, let me suggest you should study up about judging another and publicly disrespecting a sister in Christ. If she is doing something wrong Father God is more than able to take care of the situation, do you really want to knock him off his throne and sit in his place? There was another character one time that wanted to do that. Love in Christ.
