Youth in Elections and Beyond

Somali youth are eager to participate in electoral and democratic processes, despite many hurdles. This film sheds light on the challenges and opportunities encountered by young men and women in Somalia in terms of political participation.
Filmed during a series of forums on the theme “Youth, Elections and Democratization - Beyond National Elections” across all member states, as well as Benadir region, this film summarizes the aspirations and challenge of meaningful youth participation.
The initiative was supported by The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The film was produced by Puntland Development and Research Center (PDRC).
