It's basically a manual transmission but the clutch is operated by a computer via hydraulics. They're called a robotized manual or automated manual transmission. All of them work the same way. BMW had the SMG transmission on the M cars. They work the same way also (they are NOT sequential). Most of them are cheap to make and small (and light), that's why they in mostly small city cars.
Absolutely one of the worst cars I've ever had to drive. The engine is too weak even for such a light car, the "semi-automatic/automated-manual" gearbox doesn't know what gear should be used in any situation and there's no creep, so moving slowly forward can't be done easily, not to mention how unreliable they can be after enough mileage. The seats are incredibly uncomfortable and the ride is bad too. You feel every bump and imperfection and it is VERY LOUD inside the car, especially when driving on the highway you can barely hear the radio.. An absolute lemon of a car. 2/10 Good video though!

I drive a 2018 69hp 1.2 lounge and it’s so easy to drive. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t the most powerful car but it gets the job done.
