Hey Jimmy Dale, I have a matching numbers, all original '75 El Camino I need to find a home for. I'm the 2nd owner. Bought it in '97 to put a new bullet in, some wheels, spit & polish, then sell. Had to move in '98 & ended up buying a house w/ no car fixing space.. the El Co has been stored since then. I didn't know when I bought it that it's the swivel bucket, tilt wheel rare bird it is; less thsn 1000 made. So, the nee motor, etc idea went out the window. Now I have cancer, been right at 4 yrs, throat surgery in '20, cancer came back. Radiation & chemo in '21 kicked my butt for 20 months. Last summer, found liver cancer, had radiation. Feel good, but I'm a ticking time bomb for when it shows up somewhere new. Need the $ the ElCo's worth, but also it needs an appreciative home. It's rare & all there. Needs new spider gears, the quadrajet leaks, but a day of effing w/ it & it'd run & drive. Any thoughts? GeoD

You see that Emblem on the inside of that drivers side Rocker pannel? Thats the Fisher Body Emblem. That body was stamped here in NE Ohio at the old Fisher Body Plant on the East Side of Cleveland in two locations East 140th and Coit. And on Euclid Ave where HGR is located today,In the same building that was built in the early 20th century. And the wood beams are still there today.
my dad had one just like this with a 4 on the floor. same color. it was all original to the point he put an aftermarket radio inside the glove box not to mess up the dash. he drag raced tons of chevy IIs, but his little 6 banger was his daily driver. We were both born and raised in Dallas.

No AC so it was driven and parked with the windows down every day. That means it got rained in a lot and rusted out the floors. Might have a little mud in that left rear quarter but she's a good find! Needs a Vertical Gate shifter and a 4-speed 😉

JD mentioned that not interested in the back seat..the back seat in gen one and gen 2 Novas bring $1200 to upholstery shops looking for them. How do I know multiple folks tried to purchase mine.
I bet the floors rotted out because of the rubber floor instead of carpet the rubber don't allow it to breath and moisture gets under the it and can't dry so it sits and rots the floor out that is the downside of having that rubber floor instead of having carpet. at lest the carpet will allow it to breath and not build up moisture under it. I had to deal with floor rot in a car I use to have because it had the rubber floor too.
Now we talkin. I've got a 66 Chevy ll SS that I've had since 69. My first car. Owned two 66 and a 67 all SS cars at the same time for a while. Southern Indiana My 66 was built in Norwood Ohio
I was really excited until I seen it was a post. Granted I still hope Bill builds this car and does things that I can learn from on my 67. There are things I want to do with mine like mini tubbing it and seeing what size tires I can fit doing that. Granted It will be keeping the back seat no matter what due to mine being an SS. I also hope to learn what the best option is to get away from the leaf springs altogether. So I am excited for this car to get to Bill soon. Can't wait for the content. Would also make a helluva giveaway car build.
Damn nice 75-80% platform for a hotrod build. Don't see many in that good of shape anymore. I'd look at tubbing it out or just going with an "old school" build with the look of what you would see cruising the streets late 60s early 70s with wolfman jack on the speakers..........
This one was hard on me. I have a gbody that is on par with the malibu. 80k mile mint body. But Nova would be 2nd right behind the 70-73 2nd gen fbody. Maybe 1 day soon you all will see my great value Grand national.
