Wow, at first I thought it was the result of repetition training, but he actually have very high cognitive and language skills. That is one genius dog no doubt.
Well it is indeed repetition training, but he also takes cues from the owner. He looks for where he points, what faces he makes when the near or far to the objected he was asked to fetch etc.
It's rare to see such a highly trained dog is rural areas though, that's cool. And he did really well on his IQ test.
@@anaalina5964 I think it’s a mixed of both, cuz it’s was shown in another episode that later on, the owner raised another dog which is his wife. She saw he was being praised and rewarded while bringing the stuffs so she also tried to do that as well, but she brought the wrong items most of the time 😂.
I do believe that the dog has developed insane cognitive skills because of repetitive things. Doing things every single day would make anyone a natural at it, especially for a dog that has very High IQ to begin with
Smartest dog I’ve ever seen. Seriously. He doesn’t only rely on hearing keywords to solve the problem as the shown by the cup and water problem. “What belongs in the cup?” He’s making a conclusion using deduction/analytical skills from watching his owner through the years that it’s water all by himself. The pen too. Just watching someone use a pen once with a notebook he makes the direct correlation between the two items. Truly amazing

I'm amazed that he can be so unspecific with his commands! When people usually want something from their dogs, they use simple, easily recognizable keywords - but this guy literally just says ''give me something to write with,'' and the dog goes and finds whatever suitable hahah! It's fantastic!
To me .. this shows that the dog has true intelligence, he can problem-solve and come up with a solution .. he is not just obeying a command, he is THINKING for himself!
Even then, the dog only understands key words. Probably "write".

This is why the saying "Dogs are man's best friend is not hyperbole. My faves are dogs, horses and elephants. If I could adopt one of each, I certainly would.

I still find it amazing that when he says "it's raining" to the dog, He looks at the guy like, "What??" Then the dog is like "ok, whatever, here's your umbrella" xD

I was shocked when the owner asked what is the use of the cup and doggie went to the room bringing out the water like OMG
I had a Golden Retriever called Chauvain. 😃 I took him from a farm when he was not yet 7 weeks old. 💗 Within 9 days he stopped pooping inside my house and he was crying when he had to pee, even if when he was small he couldn't keep it for more than 5 minutes. 😃😅💗 He was so tiny and adorable.. 😃 Being a puppy I let him sleep in my bed but after he was 3 months old, I try to let him sleep separately in his place.. 😃 I woke up and he was in my bed next to me, then looked innocent and came in my arms! 💗 He loved long hugs and sometimes just asking for a hug! 😃 If I was too tired or something, he would change his look and cry.. 😮😔💗
Once when he was about a year old, I was walking outside with him and we came across a stroller with a very small baby, probably not even 6 months old! 😃 Chauvain layed down and started crawling, while ME AMAZED, just staring at him.. What does he do? 😃💗😅
The woman with the baby "you taught him well" and me "umm huh" but still staring at my dog what he was doing.. 🤣 Then close to the little baby, still crawling, bended his head on a side and let the baby touch him.. The woman passed him by, and he was still lying down while I was speechless! 🤣🤣🤣
Did I mention all this time I said nothing to the dog?? 😮😁😅 He did all this by himself. 😮😅💗

I think his lifestyle really influenced him, the way his dad always keeps things away from their intended place and always moves them around really helped him learn what objects are needed for each task. The toilet paper for the bathroom, the tub for when he goes to wash his face... It's really amazing, my dog would never learn things like that because everything is rather put away or in it's intended place already. I think him and his family are a great match 😊
This happens when You take good care time and nurtute your pet, the owner is very caring towards the dog and the dog reciprocates the love by helping him, no wonder labradors are the best support dogs ❤️

I agree. Happiness is very intelligent because he is very happy. He and his dad are very close and they connect well with each other.
Labs do certainly have a habit of being smart. We had a black lab like this that thought she was a person. So she saw no reason shouldn't be able to let herself in and out - through the sliding glass patio door.
It also worth noting that the smartest dogs I've met have always had owner with high expectations. They don't use baby talk with their dog, just regular words. It elevates what the dog can really do, and makes the owner more aware of the possibilities..

To be honest this is probably one of the greatest videos I've ever seen. The dog is beautiful and you can tell by looking at his eyes how he is processing what his dad tells him :) He's super smart and seems to have a great relationship with his loving family aswell ❤ You can tell even if his parents don't have much money, he has toys all over and places for him to be comfortable and happy 😊 not to mention all the time they dedicate to spending time with him and talking to him ❤
