This is currently my favorite track to try and solo over, I don't know any real theory or scales but I am making some pretty cool progress using this and am connecting a lot of dots. Thank you! Ps, based on one of my favorite songs of all time 😊
It genuinely makes my day hearing this is helping you progress. I'm not a great guitarist myself. I like messing about with the pentatonic scale over simple backing tracks. My philosophy is 'You only need to play a few notes, if those notes are played well'.
Dear Mister Fantasy, play us a tune Something to make us all happy Do anything, take us out of this gloom Sing a song, play guitar, make it snappy You are the one who can make us all laugh But doing that you break out in tears Please don't be sad. If it was a straight mind you had We wouldn't have known you all these years Dear Mister Fantasy, play us a tune Something to make us all happy Do anything, take us out of this gloom Sing a song, play guitar, make it snappy Dear Mister Fantasy, play us a tune Something to make us all happy Do anything, take us out of this gloom Sing a song, play guitar, make it snappy You are the one who can make us all laugh But doing that you break out in tears Please don't be sad. I’m not a great guitarist. Why does AM pentatonic sound so good over the major chords. And is it just me, or does A mixolydian also sound good? Thanks!
Love the backing track! But is it really A and not D? A sounds off when I play it, and the G chord is not part of the A key-chords if im not mistaken?!
A, G, and D go together like peanut butter and jelly. these are not the chords to Dear Mr. Fantasy however. I haven't played it in a year or so but I'm nearly positive it's in D. no matter, it is about jamming, and this sounds great. sounds more like sweet nuthin'.
Where has this been all my life. My favorite chord progression hands down
Keep up with great Jam tracks love that timeframe of 60-70s Blues Rock Funk and R&B Soul
My fav backing track right now! thank you!
Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
This is a great track to practice some violin rock riffs! Thank you!
Awesome backing track. Been souling over this track and love it. Thankyou
I find myself soloing over this like twice a day. Thanks so much!
You're welcome. Glad you enjoy it.

That A mixolydian gives it a nice Jerry Garcia feel.
Love the backing track!

I'll be honest, mate. I ain't got a clue. I don't really understand music theory.
Those are the chords, though.
