@stevenjohnson7086 Maybe not, the pronunciation depends on the region. [joːɽe] or [joːre] - with retroflex or a normal r are both correct for example.

I am uncertain how to express or understand sounds expressed using the IPA chart at this point, but I understand it’s importance. I would say I pronounce gjorde with GJ sound making an English J sound, but slightly softer…
But when I hear your pronunciation it has more of an English Y sound.

Not sure why I was pronouncing JORD-uh like that 😂
