- This video is about Unboxing and playing Roland VH-10. This electronic hihat is very good, lighter that VH-11 and in my opinion has better triggering. It is part of my Roland TD-25 KV kit that I use in live gigs.
Song: "The happy man", by Edutred (me!). I love electronic music too and I try to create some loops and songs!
Special participation: Daniela Bianca Santoro.
Module is Roland TD-25. - Розваги
Man! Does it work nice on the td25? What pad do you select for playing it?
Hey Dad! Thanks for commenting! Very good question! Roland released an update for the TD-25 module (not a long time ago) that now contains the VH-10 hihat, so I selected the VH10! It works perfectly as you can see in the playing at the end of the video! Regards,
Tred Drums wait! Really? A firmware update? On roland website?

OMG!!! THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!! My head was about to explode because I couldn't find the washer for the hi hat VH-10 that was supposed to be included in the box. After watching your unboxing video I noticed that the washer was in a small bag hidden in the inner flap! Holy moley, and I was about to throw out the box!!!! You saved me from extreme frustration and hate for the world!!! You are awesome!!!
Thanks! Glad I could help!
I appreciate this demo. Well done. Thank you.
Thanks!
Hi guys...would this work with a TD-9?
Hey there, I see you play the ATV artist series drum set and now you've exchanged the ATV hi-hat for the VH10? Is that right? I have the ATV-EXS 5 and I am using the Roland TD17 module. I ordered the vh10 because I understand it plays great. Better and less loud in terms of noise pollution than the ATV hi hat. So I recon by the movies of Drum-Tec on YT. So I'm very curious and waiting on it with patience...
Hey Peeping Tom! In fact I didn't exchange the hi-hats. I have 2 ekits. One is the ATV which never gets out of house, and another one is the TD25KV, which I use for gigs and this one includes the VH-10. I love both hats. The ATV is louder, but it doesnt bother me as my room is big and I use good headphones. The VH10 triggers very well too. I never made a test of playing the vh-10 with my ATV/Mimic Pro kit and I am curious, will do that some day. Anyway you will have an awesome hihat for sure! Please consider subscribing to my channel if you aren't! Many new videos coming! Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for the info. So, I don't get it...is the VH-10 newer than the VH-11?
Der Mensch Hello, yes, the VH-10 is newer than the VH-11, and in my opinion has a better triggering. It is lighter than the VH-11. Thanks for your comment!
I've been having trouble with my vh 10. It doesnt stay put and the Roland logo gradually moves closer and closer to me as I play it. Any suggestions on why this is happening? Did I maybe install it wrongly or something?
A suggestion is to stop the pull rod inside the Hi-hat stand with a tape
Hey Tred Drums what's the exact weight of the cymbal? Thanks.
Mr Usir Hey Mr Usir, according to Roland site, cymbal has 1.2 kg and motion sensor unit (controller) has 0.2 kg. Thanks for your comment!
Very intuitive information and Awesome video btw !!! 👍 What high hat stand do you recommend that is compatible with the Roland VH-10 and not to expensive"🤔🥁 anyone? 🤔
Thanks Edwin! Unfortunately I recommend only expensive ones, like the Pearl H-1050. A good hihat stand has to be sturdy and have to have a spring tension dial. Thanks for your comment!
@@TredDrums Thank you very much , just want to get the best one recommended. Much appreciated 😎👍🥁
@@edwinhernandez9276 No problem, Edwin! Please consider subscribing to my channel. It will help me a lot! I will make studio tours, several covers and another informative videos! Thank you very much!
@@TredDrums I forgot to ask you what kick pedal do you use or what you would recommend for the Roland 17 KVX bass drum . P.S . I've Subscribed to your channel 😎👍🥁 Much Appreciated 👍
@@edwinhernandez9276 Hey Edwin! Thanks for subscribing and welcome to my channel! Kick pedals are so personal. In my case, I like heavier pedals (and with more punch), so I use the Tama Iron Cobra P900. If you like softer pedals you can use the Pearl Eliminator. Please test and verify which one you like the most! Dont forget to use plastic beaters with electronic drum kicks!
How does the surface feel? Like an acoustic hihat?
Its a different feeling, but it responds very well. I like tô play in this Hi-hat.
thanks
I don’t think mine came with the flat washer that sits beneath the unit. Has anyone else had the same experience?
Peter Allan Not that Ive heard of. Thanks for your comment Peter!
I almost threw mine away with the card board box it came in....and I checked it twice to make sure I got everything. When I got to the assembly I realized I didn’t have the flat washer. Went back to the box and tucked in the dark recesses was the flat washer pkg.
what hi hat stand did you use?
Hello, I used the Pearl h1000.
@@TredDrums does this work with any hi hat stand?
@@johnadamceravolo Sorry, I dont know. Is better to veify in rolands site.
How was the set up?
Not sure I understand. What do you mean? Thanks.
@@TredDrums Was it easy?
