Value of certain degrees are declining but in US you should go for Tech , Medical or Medicine . I have seen alot of people earning 6 figures just some years after their Grad in IT . I think one should choose his degree carefully by taking in mind that what skills are in demand in industry .
This is a clear example of how important good communication is, the main girl should have been specific on the phone to her friend about why she thought the guy mistaken her for someone else, the friend could have easily explained that she wrote that on her profile and that she got it wrong, secondly the guy could have been more specific and said where he read the comment, she didn't tell him,it was mentioned on her profile, they both could have squashed it there and then by checking the profile, the main girl clearly didnt read through her own profile the friend made for her, they both made up their minds about eachother on very little information, this is a cautionary tale of how you can get things completely wrong if don't communicate properly, but then again if they did there wouldn't be a story hehe, very interesting start to the series, i wonder what happens next :)

I dont really think it was only miscommunication though. I sometimes know a fact about someone, they could have told that to me in person or told over a chat or I could have just happened to notice it. In the end I simply associate the information with that person and forget how I got that info in the first place, not the best of traits but very possible. Here too, he seemed to be sure it was about he and probably wrongly remembered HOW he knew it. Or assumed the most likely possibility which was the chat??? And the girl too probably never thought about going over her profile, which too seems plausible. To me it looks like very human, very natural mistakes from both side. ^^
