love the review man!! there's so much going on with this keyboard it's honestly just one of the best options for budding enthusiasts. keep up the good work man!!
wow you went hard on the sound tests, appreciate the review! I’d guess the market for folks building this in a plateless / soldered config is very small, but I actually really respect that they offer it and hope they continue to do so for future products. I’m still holding out for a weighted 60% board from them with a solid gummy o ring config.
Haha thank you, Neos dedication to customisation is great, and is exactly what entry level keyboards should offer. I too am very excited for a 60% gummy o ring board, that and if they decide to create a 100% keyboard as nearly everyone I know cannot 'function' without a numpad.
@@dill-keebs haha, I can only imagine it's a matter of time before they hit the full size layout as well, even if it's just for the more enthusiast crowd to be able to recommend to those who won't go TKL or smaller.
I've definitely been enjoying the QOL changes Neo have been bringing to the table, but I also have to agree on your point about the engraved logo. Even though it's on the bottom, I find it to be an eyesore in terms of aesthetics. Would be much more interesting if it were a pictogram logo instead of just their brand name.
Love the Neo80 and its ease of modding but the layout is a no for me as of now. Seeing their upcoming projects, a Neo75 is hopefully coming which is my preferred layout.
I believe KFA also has the neo 80 for preorder. I haven’t ever compared Divinikey and KFA neo product prices vs. QK’s website, but I’d hope they’d be cheaper if only due to benefits from bulk orders / shipping.
Really interested with the NEO80, already own Tiger80 lite that board slaps and really love the TKL size but just got the NEO65 at the end of the december gonna have to skip this one sadly.
Honestly this is better then the qk 80, except in ascetics for me. I personally prefer the rgb bar and f13, but 1.6 mm pcb, price, ease of opening and mount choices, really make it hard to deny quality.
Totally fair, I'm a big fan of the minimal aesthetic, but would have liked to see f13 too. This is a great option for both newcomers and budding collectors who 'need' another TKL hehe.
not a stupid question at all! Neo doesn't really define the feel, unlike their plates, but I would say from softest to hardest it would go, plateless, gasket dumbbells, gasket jackets, o-ring, and finally brass pillars. as for sound, I think that's really down to the plate, switches, foams and keycaps, but if I had to say, the gaskets are on the deeper end whereas the brass pillars might be clackier. hope this helps!
I personally think its more of a rough, stoney texture. It doesn’t seem glittery to me at all, and honestly in person isn’t a pure white but more of a sanded down white. I personally really like it
I personally love the neo65 and use it daily now. If you like the layout and can justify the costs then I would definitely recommend getting the 80, but if its not your preferred layout I would wait, I imagine neo will eventually make a board for every layout!

Thank you so much! Its one of the few boards that I actually had a fun time taking apart because of how easy they have made it! Loved your review too
@@dill-keebs ❤️❤️
Ordered mine 2 weeks ago. Freaking excited, really seems like it will be my endgame TKL
Thats awesome! Hopefully you receive it soon!
There is no such word "endgame" in the custom keyboard world 🤣
I really wont see any reason to get another TKL since im a huge 65% keyboard guy. This TKL will be my TKL endgame 100%@@lagggerr

Totally agree, the orbit logo itself I think is enough brand design without the need to plaster the name on the back of the case.

Important to note for us viewers that divinkey is offering the neo 80 as well, nit sure if its more or less there

Nah the neo 80 from other vendors is considerably more expensive for some reason@@ImOnMy116
1 month later: "You NEED the Cycle8"
i NEED both.
x months later: Frog Lite

I bought the group buy not too long ago, can't wait for it to arrive

What is the f13?
@@nikitasnosis2695 f row key, a 13th one. Search up f13 tkl if you are confused. F12 tkl is the normal layout
How to put this board in sleep mode?
Thank you australian keyboard zaddy. I just purchased one.
Is this the white or retro white colorway?
can you share whats the softest to hardest mounting styles as well as clackiest to thockiest? Newbie here so pardon if it's a stupid question.

How does the spray coated look irl? I heard that it looks "glittery" to some extent on the website

Is there a way to turn off the RGB light?
Wares the best place to order this in the us?
this or the keychron Q series in your opinion?
If you’re happy to supply your own keycaps and switches. The neo80 100%
what are these keycaps
What if I already have a neo65, is this still worth getting? I kinda want a TKL now too :)

Anyone know a numpad that would pair well with this?
How does the rgb work?
does anyone know the keycap set at 0:10
JC Studios Tulip :)
does not sound good, it really needs brass internal weight, I guess it was tuned with foam in mind, real shame
Bro, what happened at 3:59 🤣🤣
Its fool proof and I’m the fool 🤣 probs should have made it a bit clearer haha
damn maybe i do need it
yesssirr!
ABS sounded better Just for me
f13 would have made this a thoughtless buy
Is f13 that useful?
F13 would make me not buy this
In fact, I don't care
@@yanhuan1 yep, this is just my preference, I like the look of f13
What is the f13?
Bro shouldn't you be working 😂
bro shouldn't you
the video is work my guy. I'm a full time keyboarder
Nope, i keep my NEO70.
what a fuckin joke lmao imagine paying near 200$ for an empty keyboard without switches or keycaps or stabs
Well, that's why they called it a "kit" or "a custom keyboard kit".
It’s great value, price is gonna keep going down anyway
Shut up. Shut. Up.
I don’t need this. I don’t need this.
Okay maybe just one
One? Don’t limit yourself bro
