I looked for that level situati and level one is supposed to be the smoothest setting. I didn't have to much time to ride it tho but i will definitely look into it. And man, congrats for the purchase! Get that quickshifter with it. It's worth it!
It’s the force of the shove that it measures. The levels detect various degrees of movement to trigger the throttle interruption or Rev matching. It has nothing to do with the clutch or mechanical change that happens in the actual gearbox. The fact you can do clutchless up and downshifts without a quick shifter means all the quickshifter does is manage the fuelling (cuts fuelling for up shifts, increases it for down shifts) So the settings are for force detection on the lever/selector
Is better to leave throttle on downshifting. If you don't you will have to force it into gear and is not going to be smooth. Takes a second to get used to it but is awesome. Congrats on your upgrade!
I fitted the factory kit to my bike exactly the same as the one in the video and you don’t need to roll off at all to downshift. But outside of the track and the odd quick shift down for a quick overtake it makes sense to time your roll off to the downshift just to reduce the tension a bit in the transmission and also the Rev differential especially at slower speeds. In town have some mechanical sympathy, out on flowing roads or the tracks keep the throttle steady. But if you are downshifting it’s usually because you are reducing speed for a reason so most of the time just roll off and enjoy the autobipper :)

The levels are the pressure it takes to trigger the shifter with the lever.

From amazon. Is a generic brand, they are pretty cheap but I don't recommend them. You need to go with something expensive for a better quality
