Great video, relaxing viewing. Worked in the tunnel many years ago, concrete lining is mine, middle section was only rock in the invert as far as I remember having walked all the way through. Barrowford Reservoir was one of my jobs as was the Barrowford concrete section when I was an engineer with BW. As far as I know its the only tunnel in a valley - fun fact
Glad things worked out for you both. I did see Maggie May in another vloggers vid on the Leigh branch of the Leeds and Liverpool canal which was a week or so ago.
Nice vid. Certainly conveyed a wet day well! Not sure if this is news to you but 2 day moorings change in winter to 14 days, up until the end of March (unless specified different). We've been living aboard for 10 years and only found that out last week😅. Keep up the good work👍
@@narrowboatmaggiemay at the mo we're at Stanley Ferry on the Aire and Calder. We did a round trip taking in Liverpool via Barrowford last summer, so it's nice to see your vlogs bringing back recent memories 😀. The Lancashire side of the L&L was an enjoyable trip, contrary to our prejudices. Admittedly we had a greater number of trips to the weed hatch! But the rural sections and Liverpool itself were great, well worth the effort. Enjoy your cruising and film making - good to see. Soon be long sunny days.
We're heading up to the Lancaster canal for Spring/Summer. Barlick wasn't a bad place to be stranded TBF. Met some lovely people here. Mind you, the Wigan flight is closed again until 16th Feb 😮

That’s very interesting, thanks Mike

Thank you.
Yes we were on the Leigh Branch- yet to do that edit!
Can you remember whose vlog you saw us on?
@@narrowboatmaggiemay Their channel is called Narrow Escape. It just showed your boat as they were passing by at the 7min mark on their lastest vlog.

Thanks for commenting James. Yes we do take full advantage of the 14 day rule over the winter when we can . Where are you currently cruising?

(stalig)tights come down, remember being told that by my O level geography teacher, a very long time ago!
Ha ha - you beat us through the canal breach by about a week. We've been stuck in Barnoldswick three and a half months lol. Finally released 😅
Oh no that’s a long delay.
Where you heading now?

@@awake573 we may see you on TheLancaster then!
@@narrowboatmaggiemay will keep an eye out for you. Ribble Link booked for the beginning of April.
😊
That’d be pronounced ‘Folridge’ & ‘Barraford’
Noice music
Thanks for sharing - little walk down memory lane for me
I’m not good with my pronunciations Sharon, sorry!
