I’ve haven’t read it (or I should since I just ran out of reading material) but I suspect that Graham Beatrix did it, he’s the least likely suspect and he had access to the chocolates, he could’ve poisoned his wife.
The brilliance and wit of Poisoned Chocolates is far superior to the author’s other works imho. I suspect he knew it, and stopped writing mysteries at an early point. I consider it the first meta-mystery in the western literature.

Absolutely. This was peak Sheringham. After this one, his best works (in my opinion) weren't technically mystery novels.
