Great piece, and some wonderful techniques. I am just starting to use the Chroma-Craft products with your signature on them and have a couple of questions if I may.........for this Viking bowl, did you use stains or paint; were the media alcohol or water based; and do you ever use a sanding sealer or lacquer top coat, and if so are they spray can or airbrush applied (if airbrush do they require thinning or is there a ready to airbrush brand available - don't seem to find any on the Chroma-Craft website). Thanks, and keep the videos coming.........

Bill,Meader: you've probably found at by now. He used spirit stains which are alcohol based. Chestnut, in the UK, supply them. I don't think he applied sanding sealer. I wish I could obtain Chrona craft products in the UK but I cannot. You can apply lacquer over the spirit stains but not the wax.
      Good luck

i use hard wax oil, but it drags the silver wax etc with it
It gives an inverted effect then, since it settles in the pores and the pattern but goes off the smooth outer (stained) side
Maybe spraying oil and letting it harden on the surface, since it adheres to the wax`?
