You hit a lot of topics but it was hard to pay attention because there isn't much going on, on the screen and this video is too long. That's just how I feel but I think it might be the reason why most videos are around 10 mins long. I watched until 11 minutes before I started yawning and feeling sleepy. Good video, keep up the good work!
I think Giovanni should be in situational with blue, both are only good against certain break points otherwise it doesn't do anything, it's a little over hyped
I think its a lot better than blue because you are in the driver seat with it so its a lot easier to get value from it, Id probably put it in b tier, but maybe high c tier is more correct
@@deadhardy still doesn't change the fact that it is a hit or miss card like blue, i'm not saying that they are of the similar power level but that they both situational.
Saying Brock and Lt. Surge are on the same level as Hand Scope is insane. Back in Genetic Apex meta I'd agree that Hand Scope was underrated because there wasn't a whole lot of worthwhile options, and knowing your opponent's hand does have more value than a lot people recognize, but the meta has advanced past the point that a card that does nothing should be considered at all. Hand Scope should be in F tier. Brock is obviously EXTREMELY narrow in what it works with, but in a deck that you can use it, it's guaranteed the value of the top 75% of Misty flips. I know you're probably looking at it from the perspective of the Golem decks and it is a problem that you can't use it with Geodude and Graveler, but as someone who has spent a solid amount of time playing Onix, I would definitely say Brock is B, but I can recognize that I may be overrating him in the context of the Golem decks that are currently more meta viable. Anything less than C tier is unacceptable. Lt. Surge was a significant contributing factor in making the Raichu variants of Pika the best variant back in Genetic Apex, but with the rise of Magikarp meta, I can see the argument that he should fall a little bit. Again, I think C tier is the appropriate placement. Other than that, I'd swap Giovanni and Leaf, and drop Potion to C tier. Potion and Gio are both very low value cards, but have use in hitting significant break points for certain situations on opposite sides of the field. Giovanni being proactive makes it a bit better. Potion is extremely comparable to Blue. I agree that X Speed is better than Leaf, but the margin on average is incredibly small. Some decks Leaf is also just significantly better than X Speed, but on average they both just give the exact same result if you're playing the correct one for your deck, and some decks even want to run both.
I think Surge is better than you think even in the current Meta. Play 2xRaichu, 2xZebritze, 2x Pika Ex, 1x ZapEx, 1x Surge. In the first Meta (Apex Genetics) the Raichu-Deck had a positive record against every other deck (tournament data)!!! Many people ignored it
@xg.55555 yeah that definitely is a strong deck, but surge isn't the main reason it's good. Surge is just a card that is nice occasionally but you are still generally relying in Pikachu ex almost the whole game
@@10types Surge is literally the reason it is good. You transition your early game advantage with you Pika exs to finish off a bulky ex in a way that surgeless pika decks can't. You lose some win percents against gyra decks (still highly favored) and gain win percents against all other decks.
I love using 2 Pika EX + Surge and Raichu against the Blastoise event since I get good damage with Pika and I can nearly oneshot Blastoise with GA Raichu
Leaf is S tier in retreat heavy decks, useless in 1 retreat ones like the pikachu zapdos deck. I’d say it’s deck dependent, not one I think can fit a general ranking. Giovanni I personally think is extremely overrated, +10 damage can come up clutch sometimes, but I ended up cutting it from most of my decks since it usually makes no difference when I’m one-shotting my opponent anyways. I only use him as filler in decks like Machamp and Scolipede that don’t have many good support options.
Well Leaf isnt useless in pikachu decks as it serves as extra copies of xspeed and well gio is not useless in those decks ur talking about as filler, its good as 1 ofs in machamp and centiscroch for killing moltres and articuno
Leaf is kinda situational bc, like you said, it depends on the deck. She can even be a bad card in decks with multiple supports like Sabrina or Giovanni bc you'll need to choose between them, but X Speed makes you keep lesser energy when retreating, so that makes it kinda situational too.
Never going to make a ban list or a ranked ladder. They already said theyre always monitoring for any out of control cards, and would print cards in the following set to help counter that. There wont be a ranked ladder, so theres no need for a ban list. With that said, I think they will eventually release a tournament mode to make it easier for tournament organizers to manage 200+players.
Literally misty is the best card in the game, one head turn one is most probably a win. No card can give you that a 50% win turn 1. also Pokedex way better than you say. Use it with slab and pokeball and it allows you to control your next draws
Misty card is F tier for me. I’ll roll 10 tails in a row and the one time I get heads first it rolls a ridiculous amount in a row. Then back to 10 tails in row lol
Surge is the epitome of situational. I get that it's for one type of Pikachu deck only.
Poke flute is essential in Lumineon and Volcarona decks, so i'd say it's situational. It's not "Bad" in every deck.
The fact he ranked Hand Scope in the same category is crazy lol
@@deadhardy fr, poke flute is also good for pidgeot

Nah, it gets play in way more decks than Blue.

Giovanni can be mandatory/S-tier based on the Meta, e.g. Arcanine + Gio is 130, which lets you one shot a number of exes you couldn’t previously
Have you played this game before?
I hope they introduce a ban list if they ever make a ranked a ladder. Misty legit makes this game a coin flip simulation.
