Not happy for the Mew2Ex upgrade. Just want a better crafting system so I could collect. Seeing all these new accounts with Crown Rares and my dumb butt with 0 but 50 copies of practically every. I can play every deck in the game and I don't even want to play. Trading is most likely not even going to help. Not spending is not even going to be a way to motivate change because some people are just going to spend anyway. Collecting feels crap, playing feels crap. Just sad feels all around. More badges could be fun. idk
This set just looks extremely underwhelming ooooo Bellibolt can move as much lightning energy to ionos Pokémon Ok? Then what? Maybe in the future this set will get more stuff but right now Very underwhelming
Everyone, I'm doing a community Mythical Island tier list you can make here: live.tiermaker.com/31636267
I wonder how Lillie’s Clefairy ex would affect how Gardevoir players approach the Drago matchup. Maybe they’ll start including a Pokémon that can hit at least 110 or 140 in a single turn without relying on Gardevoir ex.
Man I need that reshiram
Deck is trash
I love how sincere you are
Serperior + celebi ex is just brutal.
Gyrados with Greninja and Drugg is the one. Vaporeon doesn't even make it into my competitive list, as you're still just looking for that misty high roll to bring it online. I wouldn't run as dual energy though, because of Gyrados. That being said, I have seen people running a version without Gyrados, and with dual energy because you only need 1 blue energy anyway. I think these decks are a little slower to catch on, but are going to be meta once more players discover the correct set up.
In my Mew Two ex deck I have a copy of Mew ex and a budding, as well as a Blue and two of the Slabs. I would like to try Sigilyph, but would mean taking out Blue, probably, or Budding, and they're both just so useful (Blue wins you the mirror) maybe taking out Budding is the way then, as you might need that far less in this deck, as Mew ex is not a focal point. I will say I'm playing a 2 x Mew ex, 2 x Piegot ex that has 2 x Buddings in it, and it's so strong. If you draw your Mew ex first, you just stall with the guy, and can pull him back to heal if need be. If you can't kill stuff with the copy move, you switch to Pigeot ex. The only downsides really is needing to run 2 x flutes for Pigeot, and if you don't draw your Mew ex in time, you can have your early birds get taken out. It's similar to gengar ex/mew ex in that if you don't draw your mew, it's gonna hurt, just not quite as bad as with gengar.
I love how people said Gyrados EX is the worst EX in the New Pack. Only for me getting my 45 wins in one evening, going on win streaks over and over.
Victini plus gmountan ohko’s dragapult.
Porygon in Mewtwo ex is fun, using mythical slab to always grab a psychic pokemon and pokeball to reshuffle the deck makes it interesting to use
Greninja - gyarados EX deck is the strongest deck in this meta.
Honestly I think you are underestimating Rapidash, yes it cost and additional energy but now in the Blaine deck you have a second hard hitter other than ninetales
I think cards like Sigilyph, Druddigon and Chatot should be in A tier.
Serperior is 10x better then gardevoir, you have to individually put 1 energy on active Pokémon compared to all Pokémon getting x2 grass energy. It can out pace a Mewtwo of you flip 3/4 heads even while going first, even if they have Mewtwo and gardevoir on curve. You can have 1 energy and retreat for 2 energy or 2-4 etc has way more uses than just a single energy per round like gard
I thought Taurus in the scolipede deck would be strong, but when it’s the only basic in your starting hand you always lose
I personally prefer mew for that reason. Lower retreat cost makes it easier to recover if it’s the only basic in your staring hand and you find other basics reasonably soon
I started running a single of the new little fire guy that poisons instead.
Been playing a ton of mewtwo and Blue has replaced Giovanni for me. It flat out wins the mirror in most cases and it forced celebi to hit 4 heads instead of 3 against mewtwo for a winning blow
I just got a Blue 2 star last night as well, so happy to hear he is useful. I got 2 x of the Budding 2 stars as well, so been running a Mew ex/Pigeot ex deck, and smashing it.
I’m trying to get friends to like each other’s showcases every day Add me 5534136361681841
I play aerodactyl stun and its insane 😂
Ive been having a lot of fun playing Charizard Moltres, especially with all the Celebi EX and I feel I don't do too bad against Mewtwo either.
the 4 times weakness is just an error
my megas allowed old copies to be copied, which means Mega Gardevoir ex could still use Psychic Embrace
legends z-a 🏃➡️
7:42 pikachu, starmie, zapdos, mew, celebi I think it’s relevant
I think you're severely underestimating the vaporeon and gyarados EX combo. Even without misty, the leaf and X-speed allows you to keep tempo and be pretty forgiving with energy. Juggling your front line and getting chip with starmie EX or articuno depending on the build practically guarantees gyarados leeway to run amok and do back to back oneshots. Gyarados's damage oneshots celebi, pikachu, and mewtwo with gio, and nothing oneshots it in return except a fully loaded charizard or celebi
I think the Vaporeon deck that will see the most success is StarmieEX, Vaporeon, and then ArticunoEX. Because zero retreat cost into placing a single energy on a big Basic. GaradosEX and BlastoiseEX are similar enough. Gary is a stage one so has that advantage, but Blast can OHKO Zard and Mew2. But they are probably a turn slow due to the number of evolutions needed to run 3 different nonBasics.
Or a lickitung!!
Personally believe you're sleeping on new Koffing. It makes all of the lines where you'd like to play Koga WAY more consistent by having the other Koffing already prepped if you drew him on your first turn.
the 10 damage you missed out on usually isn't impactful but if it is, you can always run a copy of giovanni in whatever deck
Mew is so overrated. It does nothing against Pikachu and you can just play around Mew. Just kill your opponents first Pokemon, built your Ex Pokemon and kill that Mew. Even against Charizard, The Opponent will never use Charizard after he draw something like Sabrina or he nocked 1 of your Pokemon with Moltres. Mew is so overrated
@FffDddd-lp1vc He will be a staple, It's not like the decks are built around him. Over time his value will increase
@FffDddd-lp1vc Mew can be thrown into any deck and you can have a fun game.
Mew can tank pikachu at the very least. It has only 1 retreat or can be taken back on hand. Also it can copy zapdos it happens all the time
Mew will probably be used best as a way to dish out some damage, tank a hit, then use that explorer supporter to pick it up and bring in your main attacker
First
Celibi and superior might be the new best deck. I've been playing around with mew ex and I don't think the card is that good tbh
Make the tier list for yourself here: live.tiermaker.com/31636267
33:00 It's to account for mew. We still dont have a card that has you actively search your deck and choose 1, and it seems they didn't want to implement that for a mini set.
This is the format for the Q3 professors cup coming up in January, so this was super informative and interesting!
Lumineon and Rotom are massive losses
As a new player looking to buy my first deck for locals next year rotation is a issue knowing what deck to play and how will it look after rotation ect. Don't want to waste time/money on decks that won't survive
@@dalesaunders8458 first deck I would suggest is the charizard ex battle deck. Very competitive in the meta and doesn't need much to upgrade to play in competition.
@Lamborgobbi awesome thank you for telling me. I do love rogue decks in tcg games, so will definitely look into weird decks to try counter the meta decks
I started replacing biberel with Revavroom tbh
very good discussion about budew that most people aren't talking about. People misinterpret budew as a stage 2 deck killer but that definately isn't the case. More diverse supporters will probably start popping up to take place of some items in your deck to account for budew locks. This means research isn't used as often so games will definately be slower and meta will need to start actually need a draw engine other than fez or teal masks.
@@TiMEbeatsNoW I actually think bidew helps stage 2 decks minus zard
I am curious how the Rotation will affect the Expanded block personally. Looking at the biggest decks there now, the 4 cards that seem the most at-risk of getting the Banhammer there after the F-Block rotates are Regidrago Vstar, Silver Tempest Archeops, Electrode-GX and TM: Evolution (possibly getting the Reset Stamp treatment where that card was legal in Standard but Banned in Expanded for a while.)
I like this deck a lot, there aren’t many feelings as good as taking 3+ prize cards in one turn with good set up I’ve been trying to cook a Vespiquen EX deck with a similar win condition, using Meowscarada EX, Radiant Alakazam and Munkidori. Haven’t been able to afford it on TCG live yet though, I’ll report back someday if I remember to do so
I’ve had a few battles where I’ve thought I’d win if they didn’t have a Potion, Sabrina, or Giovanni. Blue probably won’t be popular at first but I think there’ll probably be some play with 60-70 and 120-130 HP mons since that’s where I’ve personally encountered issues. The 10 HP breakpoint means you can make an extra attack, add have one more turn to power up, and have one more card drawn before your opponent takes a point and there are definitely gonna be decks where it’ll make a difference. It’ll probably see more use over time as people figure out how to use it just like the Red Card. Checking out different cards: 60-70 Most Basics 120-130 Pikachu EX and Zapdos EX, Starmie EX, Centiskorch, Baby Mewtwo, Grapploct, Pidgeot, Greninja, Alakazam
Bench snipe from Grimmsnarl KOs Budew btw
budew is going to hurt a LOT of decks, so I'm investing in future box. i think it works fairly well even without items early game. Also not losing anything except DTE, which is an easy thing to work around lol.
I think people are sleeping on deddene. I really think its going to be the biggest pain in the ass for the game.
Zard decks can ko bidew with charmander
If they can find that 1 out of 5 of their fire energy
@@presticles123 The thing is, you knock budew with a Charmander it means you couldn't evolve to a zard and your opponent have a turn to establish a better bench and steam roll you. In that case budew fulfills his mission of making you stumble and leaving you lagging behind
@TheLuchonator not really. They are most likely taking a 1 prizer next turn so it would be a 1 for 1 trade
@@TheLuchonator Charizard decks already don't care about losing a basic or even two. It powers up their charizard, anyways.
@@presticles123 What I said again, even if you kill the budew in your 2nd turn as zard, you cant use rare candy, you cant evolve pidgey, you cant establish your engine and you made you prize map look awkward taking 1 prize, meanwhile your opponent can evolve his pokemons, start setting a backup attacker and even snipe your pidgey/rotom. Its not about powering zard, its about restricting your resource management
is zard and raging bolt going to be viable after rotation? wondering if they’re even worth building now
@chiball yeah they'll still be decent post rotation I imagine. They will take a bit of a hit though but I wouldn't be too worried.
With the rise of Budew how decks are built will be different and the game will slow down. I expect evo decks will be back and rely on tm evo more again. Gardy is already doing well in Japan so when it rotates Zard could fill a niche it had.
@@ResidentKlinton I’ve seen dragapult seems to be doing well in japan now. i might build that instead
Slowing the game down will nvr going to happen. We want games that end in 5 turns. It's gonna be more consistent in the future. @@ResidentKlinton
Zard will more than likely shift to a heavy tm evo and grand tree build, zard honestly will prolly be paired with the terapagos noctowl engine to keep it consistent. Maybe a 1-1 pidgeot line once the bedew lock can't he sustained. Or could ignore pidgeot and keep the duskull line to really take advantage of early kos on the basic exs.
Sad, Chien-Pao will be unplayable
Radiant greninja can exist in our hearts as the significantly worse cycling road
My poor radiant greninja. He doesn’t deserve thsi
@Mythologicalcreaturesstore he had his 15 minutes of fame.
