Loving your transformation, but you keep saying it's been X amount time being sober but you weren't alcohol dependant were you?
People do drink alcohol without getting drunk or dependant!
I think he had made alcohol a regular habit in his life, rather than being dependant on it. I think he's also aware that the habit of drinking regularly may lead to dependency further down the line. He feels good to be alcohol free, with both the physical and mental benefits he now feels.
I'm sure there will be a few drinking nights in Marbella and Ibiza!-nowt wrong with that!
