I’ve been hesitant to say this because I just found out about Harland this year. I know that’s sad to say. But.. my favorite comic ever was/is Norm Macdonald. I can now say after watching enough Harland content he is actually one of the greats. Very underrated and under talked about. Right up there with Norm imo. Can make everything funny.

Re: hockey…Erik has no clue what he’s talking about. The basketball player couldn’t sprint the 400 dash. And break it down…hockey offense skates the most, defense 2nd, and then the goalie…
In any competitive sport you go all out. You can't really compare them. Counterintuitively, football players can jump higher than basketball players. It's because they need to have explosive power in their legs. "the average football player has a 37″ vertical jump, while the average basketball player only has a 30″ vertical jump".

you can tell erik has never played hockey. Hockey is the most physically challenging sport on the planet, full stop.
the only sport that comes close is soccer.
soccer requires more stamina than hockey and basketball the field is massive and they run often times the whole 90 minutes with one break especially midfielders which have to go to the back when the ball is there and the front when the ball is there
Male Tennis players sprint for over 5 hours some matches, along with the coordination of bludgeoning the ball. Male Tennis athletes are the most fit of any sport.
100% plus all the stress of travel international non stop, they have the longest season of all sports.

Although I have two favorite comedians Harland, to me, is THE funniest person in comedy.
Like I have a favorite baseball player (Bo Bichette) but understand an Ohtani, Judge, or maybe Trout are the "best" players.
Harland is the "best" comedian due to him *always* being on the joke.
Despite watching most of his work and seeing him all over podcasts I don't definitively know much of anything about him other than being Canadian.
