*Fun Fact:* Devil is one of my most favorite Assist Trophies in Super Smash Bros, because I find it incredibly special how he allows me to explore the offscreen boundaries of several stages without hacking, I just didn't realize it for literally 11 years years after Brawl's release date! It's just a sad-shame/bummer that Ultimate has omitted Devil from spawning in about 65% of the game's selectable stages! I guess that 35% stages available for Devil, could B better than nothing though, I suppose.
Thanks for the review. This was interesting. Its hard to believe that this still won't get released in North America. This was a nice short and fun video and informative. Sometimes these videos can be long and boring. You did a good job :)
You said know him from brawl but never played that. I came here because I got Devil Spirit in Smash ultimate, and was wondering who he was. Thanks for explaining the game.
I remember playing this and legend of Kage on one of those bootleg 110 in 1 carts my father had bought thinking he was the coolest, haha. I didn't know any better. But I do remember playing this slot actually
Im closest to a full game boy set only 20 more to go and nes i have quite some, actually i did a room tour video in which you can see all 3000 games i own kinda 🤓
Interesting game, Ed. Given its limited release, I would have thought that’s a loose copy would have cost more than that. I have a nice weekend. Cheers M
I have realized that Devil World wasn't released in America back in the late 80s because Nintendo of America was under a video game panic. Atari almost killed the video game industry, so Nintendo of America forced games to stay true to social norms because Atari lacked discipline to handle video games. I'm happy Americanization faded into obscurity because the crazy Americanization for video games and cartoons didn't deserve to happen in the first place.
This game didn't make American shores during the late 80s because Nintendo of America treated their NES like a toy because they were scared of being compared to Atari. Nintendo of America made those strict policies because they were afraid of losing money and ending up like Atari. Prior to the ESRB, not that many Americans knew that not all games were for kids. Nintendo of America didn't want religious content or anything outside of social norms in video games because they were afraid it would scare or be a negative influence to children. As it seems, not that many American parents knew that too much censorship was a bad thing.

He is now Yoshi
🤣🤣👌
Hey, you got a point. Even crawling out of the egg sounds a bit similar to Yoshi in SMW.

I love that game, the first game I ever reviewed like 7 years ago actually, the Famicom version, wish I had the European one. Great video as always.
You are the Devil incarnate Joe!!
@@RetroGamePlayers Hell, devil incarnate is my middle name.
Awesome 🤠
They could have replaced the religious sprites with something secular in order to release it in the US. They did it with several other NES games.
Nice one ed! Loves the intro 😃
Thanks buddy 🤓
ah man, I really wanted to play devil world.
*Hands down the most extreme version of Pac Man right here!*
This is a GOOOOOOD one. And cool video too.
Thanks buddy 😏

Damn that's a pretty impressive video game collection you got there. Looks like you have games in boxes too. Do you have full libraries of games?

@@EdsRetroGeekOut I'll definitely check it out.

Nah it’s pretty ok I guess the rarity is there but not the demand 🤓

Nice video ❤️
Thank you 🤓
Bruh ghost's and goblins literally had Satan and Astathoth (Called The Devil)
I know but I think due to it being created and published by nintendo they had a higher quality control

Maybe ESTB E10 or T?
That's sort of funny how Nintendo of america still thinks americans can't handle this game
Solid
Thanks buddy 🥳
