I got home from work with a semi stuffy nose. First thing I usually do before work and after work is Check my blood pressure. It was a challenge over the last few months to finally get it under control. I quit smoking, cold Turkey. Went on a diet and no more caffeine for me. No Tea, coffe, soda, chocolate or anything that remotely has caffeine in it. I've had SVT since I was 10 yo and all of those things I mentioned, help trigger it. Well long story short, I grabbed the flonase I just purchased from Walgreens and sprayed too sprays in each nostril. Everything seemed ok. I was standing at my kitchen counter checking my bank account for about 5 minutes the all hell broke loose. My Heart fluttered then started skipping beats. I Coughed really abruptly to see if I could force my Heart back into rhythm and it worked. I almost went into SVT mode. My heart immediately started raising and beating hard. Now when I took my blood pressure moments before taking flonase, I was 107/72 pulse 68. Amazing blood pressure. After the Flonase and that attack following it I was 149/110 pulse 98. I immediately took my blood pressure medicine which already took in the morning LOSARTAN 50mg and my other med. METOPROLOL 50mg to slow my heart rate. When things settled down almost an hour later My blood pressure went down 128/82 pulse 80. Now those arent bad numbers but Ive been at 104 to 108/ 70's pulse 67 to 78 so this flonase scared the daylights out of me and knocked my good numbers way off. All from 2 sprays in each nostril
@@Roosyer No. Unfortunately, it was the nasal spray. It irritated me somehow. Not sure if the spray was just old or what. My Bank account was fine. This happened on a few other occasions as well. The doctor said the stimulate caused my heart to skip beats and flutter. When the happened. It scared the crap out of me. Much like a panic attack and cause my Blood Pressure to increase. Dr. Doesn't believe the spray caused the BP increase, neither do I anymore. I do believe however that it caused cause my Heart palpitations and flutters though. I was fine and doing nothing different before I used it but who knows.
@@compound00 Hmm well, I do keep reading about people having issues with sleeping and anxiety after getting on Flonase, so maybe you're right and that it may affect the heart. So crazy, all meds have bad side effects at some point. I don't know what to take for allergies anymore.
Used this for a few weeks and I just had the worst nose bleed I’ve ever had in my life. Nose bleeding for 20 plus minutes non stop. Just pouring out, while I’m at work. It’s a known side effect. Done using this. Will stick to oral medication.
If you have nasal bleeding, as I did, doesn't that allow the medication to be more readily absorbed. Can you use Flonase if you do have nasal bleeding?
I used this for two days and stopped. I felt sick for two days after use, I could not function at all. It works for many, but I sadly can’t use it. I hate that I am so hyper sensitive to things. I need allergy relief and am sad this did not work.😢 My eyes swelled also. It was rough! Has anyone else had these reactions with this spray?
Ok here's something that may be useful for you. You should look into how to spray it. There's a way to spray any nasal spray especially Flionase that it won't go down the back of the throat and into your stomach. It really shouldn't even go into your mouth either. And if it were to, you should get water and swish it good and spit out. Done correctly you'll never have it go down the throat thereby irritating the throat and going into the stomach and making the user even more uncomfortable and even sick. There is a particular way to spray directly into the nasal cavities. Plenty of tutorials on YT here.
If you have bad allergies though. Get the Antihistamine Zyrtec or Claritin. 24 hr. And see how they work for you but they can cause sedative affects at first. I still say flonase is even more affective than these.

Yes. That's because people weren't spraying correctly. If sprayed correctly then it won't go down the throat.
This stuff works great for earaches and other ear problems....u use it like u should in ur nose but it goes to ur ears
