Interesting video KC, but if I owned an older KLX300 the part I'd want to change out most with a 24 KLX300 part is the hideous transformer headlight on the older KLX
I really like your KLX300 “how tos”. My 2021 is still a work in progress and you have good ideas. I had a problem with interference on the front brake hose routing past the stock turn signal. I went to Rocky Mountain ATV and got their replacement turn signals for their Dflex handguards , spliced their wiring into the stock turn signals and used a Dremel tool to cut opening holes in my Barkbuster handguard plastic. I bought a lower brake hose guide, trimed off part of it and replaced the upper guide with it. That straightened out the hose routing in line with the fork tube and prevents being so tight at full fork extension. The original bend outboard also caused chafing from the Barkbuster mount which the new routing cured. Thanks again.
Great video! I really never liked to look of the white side panels on my 2022. I might go the same route as you. I’m curious how well the new side panels would match up to the old stock rear fender. The updated styling of the 2024 was much needed. Thanks for the great how to!
So after seeing this a second time if anyone has ever used door trim clips its the same idea but not built in like so. if u drill a hole like he did but not all the way and give it a notch u can buy the right size pop tab so it fits the oem threaded hole and have a more oem look without screw hole 3:57
Nice job, KC! Glad to see you're 'going green'. I wasn't sure what it would take to get the 24' panels to fit prior year models, so good on you taking the plunge. On my new-to-me 23', I went the paint route to change the two white side panels and the white headlight panel to green. I would have posted a pic here, but it seems there's no way to do that.
I remember u saying u were gonna do it, nice work modding it. I will say though, the new headlight shroud doesnt cover the display fully...odd to me. Really its just the tail piece, side panels, headlight and fan that are different. I was happy with my '18 Camo 250 until i seen the '24 grey, bought it immediately.
Are you going to order the 2024 headlight as well? Also I'd slightly countersink the holes you drilled in side panels to make the screw heads sit down in the panel to give it a factory look. Just a thought on attention to detail.
I was also wondering about the fitment of a 2024 headlight on the previous model! I’ve been toying around with pricing one out and trying it but that’s an expensive “what if” experiment.
I want the '24 side panels for my '22 supermoto. Regarding the forward-most hole you drilled in the side panels: Is it possible to countersink the hole so the head of the fastener sits below the surface of the panel? I am also interested in how the '24 side panels meet up the the older stock rear fender.
love all your videos. question, do you think that the rear 2024 fender would fit stock on a 2023 being ive done no modifications on the bike like what you have done from the videos
It was strange one side was around $135 & the other was close to $175 retail for some reason. They do come with decals on them. It were outdated have been less with discount, but still crazy!
Thank you for the video. I ordered the part numbers and changed out my 2023 KLX300 today. Looks amazing.
Awesome! Glad the vid helped out. I appreciate you watching!

It’s weird how the aftermarket continues to ignore the KLX300. I ordered an entire plastics kit for my KLX400 from UFO for $90.
Fr!!!!

Thank you for the info, I had some brake hose rubbing issues also that I had to deal with, occurred after my risers were installed.

I liked your old rear fender better. Hard to beat that look

Thanks, I still need to wrap my white headlamp section to ditch the white! Thanks for watchin’
You can on the community page of your channel. Lmk!! I’d like to see!
Thanks kC I would like to do a 360 on klx 21

Did you have to order the plastic kit from the dealer? I can’t find them anywhere
Sir, may I ask where you got that 2024 kit ? I’ve been searching all over eBay but not very actively.
They are factory Kawasaki from my local dealer.
Are you going to order the 2024 headlight as well? Also I'd slightly countersink the holes you drilled in side panels to make the screw heads sit down in the panel to give it a factory look. Just a thought on attention to detail.
I would like to do that , but the plastic is at most 1/16” thick. It would be sketchy.
I was also wondering about the fitment of a 2024 headlight on the previous model! I’ve been toying around with pricing one out and trying it but that’s an expensive “what if” experiment.
The best looking part of the 2024s are the new headlight do you think they will fit on the old body style
I’m sure it will fit, but the headlight unit is around $943 & green mask is $58

The thickness of the panel is only 1/16” so it would be tough to countersink.
Pls for the love of god, where r u buying these part? i cant found it on the internet :(
The 2024 plastics were purchased from my local dealer.
Is the 2020 300r the same as the ‘21?
My plan too 👌🏻

Thank you! I’m thinking it won’t fit over the black under fender portion. I’ll have to dig my stock fender out & check to find out.
Great Videos😊
What did your dealer quote you for the radiator shrouds?

Would newer parts fit on an 07 KLX300R?
The frame geometry may be different, but I can’t say for sure.
I dont see your crf300l….. is it gone?
Still got CRF, it’s in other side of shop. The old rear fender did a better job of covering sub frame.
Ridiculous I just ordered two side rear left and right white plastics and a front fender from Kawasaki website 195$ shipped for a 23 KLX 300……smhhhh
