Put the Tusk rack for a 23’ on my 24’. It works, it will just rest pretty much on the rear fender as I didn’t have shims laying around. Bottom of the bolts do seem to hang lower than they would on a 23’ but they don’t come into contact with the rear tire when shock fully compressed… at least not with stock rear rubber…

Does it provide any noticeable power?

The bones of this bike, frame, motor and suspension is nothing new. Been the same since 1997! So its older than the drz400.

Had a few Jap dual sports, looking for a KTM 350 Exc-f. Seems like 1st gen 2012-16 are popping up now in 2025 for $4k ish. Any issues with years, or are newer gen much better in reliability/performance. I found a 2012 clean 100hrs, and a 2014 clean 200hrs....same price. I read the 2014 changed the rod bearing thats has longer service life or is the 2012 with 100hrs worth it for less hrs. Beside oil change, air filter, maybe check valve lash what other KTM maintenance is required?

your right most people use them and then put them away without a little cleaning and without checking anything out. then jump on the mower and wonder why they dont start or won't mow. my last mower lasted 17yrs.

I discovered like a lot of folks did who bought a T/C that a good rest is required ! I settled on the Bog-Pod rest and it works well !

If you're having trouble getting any tire bead to seat, try using a bicycle pump, with a little Windex of course; the large cylinder on the floor bicycle pump creates a instantaneous pressure pulse much higher than you get from the little cylinders on electric pumps, or from compressed air tanks.

I have both. Both great bikes imo. I do like the Kaw better on trails and aggressive riding. Just ripping around town the Honda is nice.

I'm really contemplating on buying this bike But I'm not sure if I should Wait for the new DRZ 400 I just don't like the fact that they didn't update to a 6, speed. I know you pre-ordered the new DRZ what do you think? I'm gonna be doing some street riding but more offroading Just like the idea of having that 6 gear for an overdrive not sure what the gearing is gonna be spaced out like on the new DRZI guess we're all in the dark on that

You are so lucky to have that right out your back door. We only have a few inches now, but nowhere to ride. I'm going to make a set of spiked tires so next year I can blast around on the lakes, lol. Minnesota doesn't let you have fun on 2 wheels. Restictions everywhere. 10,000 lakes my ass. Most of those are private access only. I was wondering about where your at for freedom of access.

We are in Bella Vista, AR have about 7 inches of snow. The family all got the the KLXs and the Tdub out yesterday. Had a good time. I was only one that didn't crash. lol

I purchased the 14” carbon wrap muffler and shaved off 4.5 lbs on my 2024 KLX300. definitely picked up substantial performance in the mid range, and that is with the spark arrester installed.

To anyone watching this PLEASE DO NOT replace the battery the way this guy is showing you. The negative cable should be the first cable completely removed and the ladder cable to put back on.

You should completely remove the negative wire BEFORE you touch the positive.

I have the same rack for my 2017 ktm 450. I put spacers where it bolts into the exhaust to help push the rack away from the fender. This helped and centered the rack perfectly.

That plastic spacer looks like 10cm, not 10mm. Can you clarify?
