Cool video but conclusion was obvious as soon as you mentioned it. In reality its good to compare but KTM’s are just a notch above when spirited woods riding is involved. But fun video to watch either way.

This is a cool idea. I have been considering the klx to replace my xr250. Thought the yz250fx would fit that niche but it doesn't like technical, slow. XR250s were sooo good.

I'll give you a head start and ride the KLX ..we will see what happens

I am heavily considering a used crf 450 rl..... Originally I had my eyes on the klx 300 although I am worried I will be quite disappointed in the power... For trail riding like you have shown here, do you think the klx becomes underwhelming in these senario's? Given the ktm I feel like you would have a good perspective

How did you mount the license plate? Did you just drill it directly to the new piece or did you put something behind it?

New KLX 250 owner here. Wondering if anyone can speak to the performance difference between the new 300 vs my 2019. Is the extra 50cc' with the 300 a night and day difference compared to my 250?

If that's the level of trail that you ride on then the KTM is overkill

For 200 dollars I thought it was under warranty if it’s 8 months old.

You hit that creek bed allot harder with the KTM and allot quicker rip through the first part.

Great video! I'm a huge fan of standalone GPS units compared to using a cellphone. Sure, a cellphone is convenient, but when it comes to reliability and usability, a standalone GPS shines above a cell phone.

Hey KC...I was curious. What kind of motorcycle insurance do you have on the KLX 300...full coverage or liability?

Did you manage to tuck these flaps that should be going underneath the upper orange part of the mudguard? (You show them at 29:45) I did not recognize them when mounting that part the first time but as I wanted to fix it and fit it properly I just can’t. If you take a closer look from behind on your bike you will see that the right plastic is not properly in place the way you (and I) mounted it. Any tips on how to fit that part as intended?

1st time ever. I rode them both Honda was a gutless pig bone stock. I go 225 , the shocks are dangerous, front end dive. KLX seemed to have more power and better suspension, new exhaust picks up low end torque.

The DRZ is the wolds OK'est motorcycle. Leave it as it is. Fuel injection, a sixth gear, and it's not the DRZ! The DRZ is a $7199 DIY bike with unlimited build options. What's the problem?

These boots aren't going to protect your feet at all on a dirt bike. They're designed for light, low-speed trials bikes. Don't wear these on a dirt bike if you care at all about your tib-fib or anything below it. Here's an idea though, the Boulder Drys are waterproof so they might be good for hunting and fishing.

I ordered the 36 because I wear 36in jeans with a belt as well. Ended up going with the 40, as I got to try on a 40 from a friend. I wasn't worried about it being a little big because of the velcro straps. I'm happy with the 40.

I feel like I may have tightened mine too much.

Mine had 38 hrs on them and the entire center section that held the inside reed petals collapsed and broke into 3 or 4 different pieces. Reeds themselves were not broken or frayed but the cage itself Is what failed.

Do you think this mod would qualify as a “high flow” exhaust regarding the 550 stage 1 ECU? I’ve done the exhaust mod and I added three UNI vents on the air box door and removed the snorkel. This improved the bikes performance considerably. I want to try the stage 1 ECU next. The intake, block off plate and Yosh exhaust are too risky to install right now.

So i looked at a 2015 KLX 250 s it sounded like it had a bent valve in it. The exhaust valve opened up to release the decompression chamber, it had 11 .7..1 compression so I ended up buying the 2021. Honda CRF 300 l

13-48 gear works well on my wr250r

That black trim makes it go 10 percent faster.

Treated wood was on sale when I bought mine It was cheaper than the mesh floor

I have the Trax master tires on my DRZ400S I ride at least 90% off road and I have over 6000 miles on them so far. I really like the rear tire but the front trak master is not as good of a tire in my opinion and will not use again.
