Just went through a headache and so many forums for this same problem my partner was having with her PC after buying new fans and having to purchase another PCIE cable. Found deep on a corsair forum that a user posted stating to "End any MSI task" because upon booting up PC and launching ICUE we were notified of the firmware update 1.6.336 [Corsair forums show this is the live fix for the blinking red] but once we click update, the download never started, the link hub and fans no longer showed up on ICUE until restarting PC. So we just end task on any other 3rd party RGB process and then proceeded to update on ICUE. IT WORKED!! Going to see how long it'll run and if the blinking went away but we were finally able to update firmware.
Thank you so much!! I have been distracted by these stupid red lights on my brand new pc I built on Saturday (sept 9th) I was eager to find a video like this, you have no clue that amount of searching through forums and UA-cam and nothing worked, but this was like a dream come true. Now I can see my rgb I paid 200 dollars for, Keep up the good work and again thank you so much for this video.
I experienced this issue for the first time just last night. Not only the flashing lights, but my iCue link fans were all suddenly running near max. A fresh boot got rid of the lighting issue, but my fans now seem unresponsive to changes in the BIOS or commander pro. So.. that isn’t great.
the problem still persists, you look at the live updates for corsair and it says its been fixed but there are still ALOT of people out there like me experiencing this issue.
I received an update from earlier this year and ever since, I've been having issues with disconnect, reconnect. Now the firmware update failed, and now it has the fans running at full blast. It was around the time when it introduced those murals rgbs with the application.
I fixed it on Windows 10 as an administrator: 1. Control panel/Power options/Power buttons and disable fast booting. 2. Task manager -> booting -> turn off ICue auto boot 3. Turn off Corsair ICue apps in the task manager 4. Menu start/Bluetooth and other/ICue turn it off 5. Turn off PC, not reboot but turn off and wait few seconds. 6. Boot PC. I think it's a kernel related bug hence it has to be completely wiped.
yep headset and dongle blinking red... i can still hear game and audio... except i get the beep every 15 seconds or so for no reason and when it plugged in its worse doo doo doo.... duu duu duu.. constantly. icue doesnt even show my virtuoso rgb headset just the dongle and and wont let me pair it i guess the option is greyd out after i click to pair it... so idk what the issue is.
I am having the same issue when loading up a game the fans turn to red but RAM is fine... I am unable to force a firmware update on the link system HUB it just has "update now" which I press and the download just disappears
This issue just happened to me today while building a computer for someone, lights were flashing red and it told me my pump had failed, temps were fine and after unplugging things everything else seemed fined even the pumped showed up in the bios as working. They way I got around the problem was by using a seprate fan controller for the corsair fans and pump and another for the fans rgb. Once I tried that everything booted up just fine and the red lights disappeard. Im guessing it either thought it was pulling to much power or it was, and just adding a seprate controller seemed to fix the issue. Idk if this would work for anyone else but feel free to let me know
@@aknc22 I used one corsair controller connected to the mbo for fans and a seprate controller for the fans rgb. They should each take a single usb connection, but once i did that everything worked perfectly
So after I built my new setup everything worked. Then I installed some things on my mainboard driver. (Gigabyte GCC driver) and then while making the installation my fans blinked red. Only the Qx ones with the Aio and not the separate LL120 fans. After that I installed my Icue software everything is now perfect. EXCEPT my Aio makes a weird high pitched sound now. Could it be broken? It’s a static sound and I can’t get rid of it

But when the blinking doesn’t happen my pc works great

That sounds like it might be an actual problem where the system is warning you of high temps. I'd suggest benchmarking your CPU and using Cinebench and HWinfo64 yo monitor temps and see if it spikes really high. If it is that it'll do it again. Then you'll need to check your pump head to see it's not loose, make sure it's all connected properly, perhaps look at changing the thermal paste, check for error messages in iCue
