It hasn't been used as a drag strip for years - I wouldn't be surprised if they were the only ones using it. I heard it closed because the owner's couldn't get insurance anymore.
I'm sure it's a nice car, but for the public at large asking 35-45K for something made in China at this point in time seems like a bad idea. Baby steps.
I'm sure it's nice and all but a that price range you are against more established and arguably nicer crossovers. But this is GM after all so they will probably have tons of discounts on these
You are right. I test drove a BMW X3/X5, Lexus RX, and this car with the Premium II trim. While the BMW and Lexus were close to $60,000, I was able to get this loaded for only $38,000 in 2018 when the 2019 was coming out with a 9 speed automatic. It is a good car and this report is accurate with its pluses and minuses. Family loves it on long trips and it has a lot of technology not mentioned (for example, using bluetooth from my phone it can play songs saved on the phone, or do text message using voice commands). Self parking is a nice feature that works fairly well.
Interesting little ute: Dimensions of a RAV4, 250 horses.. and not bad looking exterior with a pretty nice interior. Of course, being made in China will turn some folks off and to which I'm a little indifferent. Little pricey too, especially at the higher trims. Nice presentation as always and good to see Buick working in the segment.
Why don't we get GM and Buick a break they are building a good car that is selling in China as well as in the United States. And is in the top 10 in reliability.
As I mentioned, over 40,000 Americans disagree with you... and more this year since sales are up over last year already. By the way, the Volvo S60 is also made there... and now a Ford is made there as well. You better start avoiding all manufacturers because guess what? They are making more cars (and buying more cars) there than anywhere else on the planet.
Don't buy Volvo - S60 is built there. BMW iX3 built in China - don't buy them. Ford Focus, built in China starting next year (all of them). Honda and Toyota will also be selling one car from China starting in 2019. Better go buy Chrysler - only way to avoid them completely.

@@anthonywebber2211 Don't worry, Ford has made a huge commitment to shipping cars from China - I am sure they will pick another soon - or after Trump is out of politics.
I'm a power and torque junky. So a turbo-4 of a 2.0T is right within my sights as it is with this car. Our Prem ll, purchased used for $35K, sees 30 mpg at 65 mph for our 7 hour trip. Super quiet and smooth too.
What is this place? Castaways of the MAGA doctrine? And of course, no one here owns an iPhone - designed in the US but built in China... Geez! No, what bothers me with this offer is the price. 95% of the products we buy in this country are made in China, and why? Because mainstream Americans care more about the bottom line than anything else. Why then isn’t this product less expensive than a comparable crossover? Could it be that nowadays, cars are built by robots and that labor is too small a proportion of the costs to make a real difference? Tell us why GM, cause it sure seems you’re cutting too big of a profit with this thing. I’m not buying it.
Nicely done Buick.
Is it me or has that testing facility gone to hell over the years?

😆😅
Uhhhhhh........No John. This is NOT what people want. Especially at this price.

Since it made in China it's worth at most 14K and I'm really stretching things there as I doubt it'll make it 100K miles.

Yawn 😕. Looks old already .plastics everywhere, typical GM .
Buick is a very good car n this envision looks pretty nice

Give the people what they want...a Chinese Buick? I don't think so.
China is Buick's biggest market, so................
Apparently, many Americans disagree. This car in 2017 became the #2 seller for Buick, with over 40,000 units sold - just behind the Encore.
I would rather flush the 31K down the toilet then spend it on a Chinese car.

i'd rather get a land rover discovery sport for that price
why are his words so drawn out..?
Tiger, Tiger Woods y'all...
It's a boring suv to be a 2017.
Was very interested in this vehicle until I learned it's a Chinese product. Extremely disappointed.

No way in hell will a car built in Red China find a place in MY garage.

Nope 👎
brand new vehicle and they put a 6 speed auto in it
the Envison is ridiculously slab-sided.

The Nissan Pathfinder is built in the US and is a better car for the exact same price.
