Triggering frenzy in modular sounds insane.

- Different hands at the controls, sounds coming from another creative mind involved with the label.
On this continuation of the previous patch, I wanted to try a second slow envelope turning the first quick envelope that triggers the DPO through the Low Pass Gate on and off. My idea was to use reverb on the last step to create a tail while the triggers stop. The variations that I get from the DPO’s own Fold & Shape functions are insane.
As you can see there is no sequencer. The pitches you hear are random CV controlling the filter, both the frequency and resonance. The QPAS filter is famous for creating very interesting resonances that turn the DPO into pitched percussion.
Eventually I decided to turn the slow envelope off. I think I like the frenzy of the quick triggering more. The reverb and delays create both interesting textures. The feedback from the reverb in the end is just pure magic. And those last two “ghost” triggers are still a mystery to me. I recorded a track the next morning using the best ideas that I tried in this video with this patch. Sounds insane.

Play into the algorithm, or don't, that's your choice.
really enjoying the modular content - you should try modular and rytm at the same time! They play together super well
Yeah i bet they do. We will see if we can sort that out. 👍
Thx
@@ExpectResistance I've found that that rytm is both hot enough and it's ext in quiet enough that you need hardly any amplification and attenuation between them. Rytm's expression in also takes CV
@@kingajanicka yeah it’s silly flexible really. It’s a great box.
