Jungle Paradise for Your Iguana: DIY Terrarium Steps

- It was time to redesign Buddy enclosure background. Last couple months was thinking about jungle type and it was good choose. it looks so stunning and Buddy LOVES IT.
Here will be all materials what i use
- Coco bark branches ,flat and artificial leaves.
- Expending foam (after its dry its safe for animals )
- Aquarium silicone (after its dry its safe for animals )
- Coco fiber ( i prefer HabiStat Coir Substrate)
- Gloves for dirty job.
Its doesn't cost so much at the end.
First step locating all branch and flats correct place after i was 100% shore sprayed expending foam to fix them in correct position and of course rest of the cage.
Next day when everything was dry, i use knife to create specific form background. Then its dirty job time .I recommend use gloves ,with silicone covered small amount and covered with coco fiber and like that all cage. Silicone needs at least one day to dry. Now its time place artificial leaves.

I saw a lady outdoors in North Queensland with an Australian desert iguana, a yellow colour. He is a star when she takes him to work and people pet him.
She ensures he is not stressed and is kept in a comfortable environment.

Well done, you put a lot of effort into this. I'd caution, though, that this enclosure is suitable for a young adult iguana. A grown iguana like Buddy really needs at least double if not triple the size of this. I know you let him freeroam a lot, but wanted to mention this as people might be taking this one as a guide to build for theirs. I'd also be careful with the amount of chemicals using to build an enclosure. As little as possible is the recommendation. I'm faced with building one in the near future once I've made the decision to adopt again or not. My old one was 4x6x6 and I thought that was too small for my big boy.
You are amazing. Buddy has a dad that truly loves him. The compassion and insight you always share is beautiful. I’m curious about the foam and other items you are using. They work so well but, if a chemical, is there potential for toxicity, especially with misting? That was a labour of love and Buddy looks so happy. He loves you as much as you love him. 💖💖

It is not ok to show people what sweet animals they are. Indeed I love them and the videos too. You are an expert . But you must see, many other people watching this video could have the wish to get such exotic animals and most have no clue how to handle this. Although you must think that those animals are from a threatened species and I am in fear that illegal catching and dealing are worst for this lovely creatures....

Hi mate, important to create a correct biotope. I saw some vapor...they like AND NEED moisture. You installed any UV lightbulbs..? They need the UV for their vitamin process through skin receptors...
Did my best job , have space for climbing for sleeping . Have 2 thermostat one at top second bottom so can regulate humidity and to see that he has cold spot to chill and warm spot to get heat. Rain system fogger. Have heating light and UV light Arcadia best what I can get now . So thanks but I think did best I can . And he’s totally happy with it.
