Hi David. You're so talented! I somehow stumbled on your channel a couple days ago and can't stop watching. Your work really inspires me to fight through my frustration of painting. Your way of teaching really resonates with me. Hello David, love your style and your teaching format. I am longtime watercolor artist starting to dabble with acrylic. I did my take on this painting but I do have one question on your process. How do you get your layers of paint to stay wet on the canvis for so long. I was stunned to see you use the back of the brush to scratch out the tree trunks minutes after you had applied the paint. The paint looked so wet still. I tried it and of course the paint had dried and I was unsuccessful and resort to just painting in tree trunks. Do you have a video where you discuss how to keep the paint wet longer on the cavas.

Hi Richard, not all acrylics are the same. Modern 2K acrylics like the Heritage I used can have extended drying times of several hours. This is easy to control with mediums such as open medium and extender. These do not work with all acrylics. Check your brand and compatible mediums.

Can your techniques be used with oil paint?
Some can. The Alla Prima lessons can. The acrylic lessons can't.
Is there a book with landscapes done by you... Where can I buy it. I am from India.

I very like your painting tutorials and I watched a LOT of them!
BUT lately there are a "tiny bit" more ads than usual which is extremely annoying!!! Less than every 3.3 minutes there is one!!! I'm going to stop watching this video at 35 mins because I don't want to see 30 (!!!) ads while watching a single video!!!
