Do you save all of your Apple boxes? if you do, you should do a video of those. Also with this new Apple TV, it seems like this is the end of Front Row. After all at this price, it's very affordable, and Front Row hasn't been updated in years.

I did think about getting one of these, seriously think that is, however when I heard AirPlay was only 720p, that was one of the main reasons which stopped me buying it, as I have a 1080p HD TV. I think I'll wait and see what's in the next generation before considering buying one again.

i figure it out how the caption work, after the film has been loaded onto the screen, pressed the top navigation button on the once or twice, the file will actually pause while you doing this, till there pip screen showed up, pressed the center of navigation button for 1 or 2 seconds, that will leads to selection of caption, and then, after you chose the selection of caption, you should be lead back to the screen you were on previously. hope that help.
@DetroitBORG now, is the Apple TV's function ONLY for these things you showed us? or could you also go online with it and use it just like you use your laptop, but in this case on the TV?

@xtraflo Not at present no. "The USB port on the back of the Apple TV is only used for service and diagnostics. A USB keyboard, mouse, hard drive, or any other device will not be recognized by Apple TV."
@UATimka I mirrored my iPad without the Apple TV. All you need is the video mirroring cable.. I don't know if this is exactly what you are looking for... Apple TV is video mirroring with no cables.

So it's everything i can already do but not as good? I guess if you didn't have your PC already hooked up to your tv and using it as a monitor it'd be good, but i don't see what else you'd use it for. Most TV's come with Apps now on them, mine has a bunch of crap and netflix.

I use Windows system, can it shares files with my systems? I have some video files in formats like avi and mkv in my Windows system harddrive, will I be able to see them thru Apple TV? If you own an iPhone or iPod or iPad, you can use the Remote app as your remote control instead of the remote control provided. One less remote control is always a good thing.
Hmmm, i still got a remote with my imac back in the day. I feel that plex player looks much nicer, all you need is an HDMI and an Audio cable and your set with more files enabled to play for just a fraction of the money. What Apple needs to do to win me over is an iTunes Server. Get all the Date of my Computers HDD (unlike the old Apple TV were you still had to keep it on your Mac) and alow Streaming to evey Computer you want to.

The Set up section of this video on unboxing and demo leaves a lot to be desired. You didn't show us the hdmi cable in full, nor how to plug it into TV. this is not a joke - it seems logical and easy but i can't fathom it. I did work out how to get it out of its packaging and how to plug in to power by myself but the hdmi cable and all of that doesn't work for me. How is that done?
