@@mtbtelly5522 I know you could for sure send it safely, im confident I know the speed to hit it myself, after ive cased once, but yea I just don't even bother, lost count of the ambulances needed from that drop. Its kind of like the whale tail at cobbler Creek, videos keep going up GMBN or Friday fails for that, just enough to scare me off haha. But it is pretty rad to see people send the pattos drop 🤙
Great vid! I have ordered an one-sixty 700, and thinking about selling the Fox dpx2 shock and instead go for the marz bomber coil shock. A fan of coil since I got my Propane Tyee with coil. What holds me back is that since it is an emtb, it might be too planted, won't it? Figure it will be more fun and easy to jump with the air, or am I wrong?
Nah thats just rebound setup. If you run a slow rebound the bike will feel dead or planted. If you speed it up it will become more lively be it air or coil.
Telly, I'm 220lbs and on a Specialized Levo w/Fox 38 and I'm running 90psi with 4 tokens. 120psi must be so harsh.... I'm interested to know how and why you came to land on these settings seeing the fox 38 (new fox products in general) have a completely new air spring that feels less damped as before. Please do a suspension setup for ebikes video. I know you've done similar videos already, but there is nothing out there that talks about having to compensate for the added weight and how it affects the handling and set up of the bike. Keep up the great content! Cheers mate!
Yup i think 120psi is quite a lot too. it might depend on pump you are using but still over 100psi is a lot Jessie melamed is similar weigh to mtbtelly (68kg) and he runs 1 token with 90psi it 38. I have around 66kg and currently running just touch over 80psi but i think my ideal setup would be around 85-90psi and 0 tokens.
@@loiczeq5551 🤔....what sag % you running? Again, I'm approx. 100kg and at 30% sag (measured standing up and in attack mode) I'm at 90psi +/- a few psi either way. I just installed an MRP ramp cartridge thus able to tune the ramp for the type of terrain I'm currently on and would highly recommend
@@miguelnavarro2571 tbh i don't really know for sure bcs i just ride what feels best. I think I have around 25-30% but as I said the psi to sag ratio mostly depends on what pump you use. I have hand pump that shows arouns 10psi more than my accurate psi checker
@@loiczeq5551 fox recommend 15-20% sag for a fork. Check out their setup guides on the fork you have using the ID number on the back of the left station.
@@Rnegade944 I feel their recommended air pressure/compression and rebound settings are a) too harsh or b) far too slow. I don't need any help and am an avid follower of Telly and all of his content. I wouldn’t say so. The hero dirt makes everything feel softer and smoother, but I rode this bike a couple weeks ago pre service and it feels stronger without the chop. More testing I’ll get it feeling unreal
@@mtbtelly5522 ah that explains a lot. All the calculators put your weight at like a 350lb spring. So you're quite a bit over sprung to get that bike feeling good.
@@Gillyske I don’t put any faith in those spring calculators. They’ve rarely been accuratefor me in the past. A 350 spring on this bike would be good for a 55-60kg rider
The gopro effect is insane. That spot is steep!
That was a pinned run til the hanger issue! So good to have those trails back!
Pretty rad hey, should be a good winter out there! Man that outside line is a no go zone for me now haha

awesome to see you shreading this bike 👍
What a run👍
The trails look rippa around SA, need more of that in Brisbane
“That’s all right, I got nothing better to spend my money on” 😂😂 you crack me up
So keen on getting an ebike ..... those Merida s look dialed too. Quality vid mate 👌🏻
Man I can’t say enough about them. So much fun
Hey Telly, don't send the bottom drop, just don't haha. Opening day a guy was already being carried out from there.
Haha thats no good! Gotta send it for the biscuits

@@KurtisPape yep its claimed many scalps. You gotta flex out of the corner to make it safely. But at speed its quite good
Sick vid once again 👌🏻
🙏✌🏼
How much travel on the fork and is it a 44mm offset or original 51mm as Z1 Bomber?
Go the E160! Killa
Excellent bike
