Great vid Teresa. My ban is going so ive been looking at used Navaras but was concerned about my EXCF250 sitting on the tail gate. Im not even slghtly concerned now that I've seen yours with three bikes on it. 👏👏
Thanks for sharing, great info. My 2018 Navara hasn't got bed rails on the floor only side rails, I'm hoping they will be strong enough to secure my 400lb Yamaha without it moving around.
I am thinking of doing this with my Frontier which has a 6ft bed here in Canada. My concern it that the third bike in reverse doesnt seem to have the suspension compressed. Does it matter that the suspension isn't pushing the wheel into the bed? Also where did you find the D rings that are installed at the very rear of the utilitrack?
We normally do have the fork protection in on all the bikes and pull them tight so it does compress. My bike (the ktm) didn’t need as much compression anyways. This is a very stable setup. We bought the stainless D-rings at a local hardware store 😊
Hi, thanks a lot for posting, thinking of doing the same. How about off road experience in the rain with these three on board? By the way, is this 4x4 navara? How's your general impression about driving on the road with the three of you and the all the gear inside.. Thank you
We put 2 bags on the back seat (has a split so my son sits in the back and the fold down seat holds the 2 gearbags and helmets and lunch bag. One bag goes on the tray. 😊
@@myDecorDiary Interesting that theyre just a cable. My lowly 2015 Triton is two hinged 3-4mm plates secured to the tailgate. Great video buy the way. Exactly what I was looking to do. I thought I might have needed a "caddie" but your tie down arrangement looks sufficient.
@@Weyaye i have a truck with a 8 ft and 6.5 ft bed and both were no where near 60k when brand new and ones a 2020 and ones a 2022. if you dont know what youre talking about then dont comment. 60k for a truck is a higher trim level truck like a lariat or laramie. unless you get 3/4ton then youre getting up there if you decide you want a diesel add on. do not comment when you have no clue what youre talking about
Thanks for making and uploading this, it's exactly what I was looking for.
puravidandy glad you found it helpful 😊
Great to hear! :-)

awesome vid but holy overkill with the tied owns lol. those gas cans are not going anywhere even without the tie downs.
SkinnySkinch 😂 yes agreed! Husband is a bit of a overkill guy with everything he does 😆🤐
better to have more then not enough.
Where do you put all of your riding gear, etc?

Lol i did this today and it worked.
Awesome to hear, glad the video helped :-)
diesel?
Yep 😊
How have the gate and cables held up to the weight over time?
Jeff Loucks tailgate is as strong as an ox 😊. Still fine 2 years on, even with us stepping on tailgate all the time. Cables all good also 👍🏻

Is that a 5 feet bed
Yes 😀
I have a 2018 crf450r and have the same truck will my bike fit
I am sure it will as the yamaha wr450f is about the same size as the honda. ☺️
just get a truck with a 6-8ft bed makes everything easy
Not in Australia
Spend an extra 60,000 on a truck to get two feet more lol
